He does

Sure it was 100 years ago and it was much easier to isolate but the lessons should have never been forgotten in how to close international borders as quick as one can
So your talking about the Spanish flu. I must admit I cant remember it but I will agree that the people advising the PM should have referred to what happened not to do what they did back then but to see if there were any learnings from it. Still I dont really think you can compare the two scenario's. Todays world is totally different to back then.

Burton has ended up a winner out of all this, the irony
In unrelated news, new Wuhan FC physical performance director Brett Burton says that preparations for the upcoming season have proceeded exactly as he had planned.....

But did he. I thought he backed away from attending and lets be fair at that time the situation wasn't as bad as what it was three days ago.

It was always going to get this bad, he would have had experts telling him that.

Are club CEO's and senior management offering to take pay cuts at this time. Heard nothing from Fagan not to say he hasn't offered.Gil at least offered. Leadership starts at he top.

Genuine possibility - the AFL as it currently operates is over. Fold the league, sell off the branding to billionaire moguls. Teams become individual franchises with owners, e.g. NFL. Or, completely new teams, super draft etc. Like Big Bash.

Might be an opportune time to buy our licence back from the AFL and install full member voting rights. 50,000 members x $500 each = $25 million. Any idea what we owe on the Development Grant?

Never waste a good crisis.

Q: If economic doomsday scenarios eventuate, would the destruction of the AFL, as we currently know it, be such a bad thing?

Says the new supplements program chief medical officer Stephen Dank introduced in December is going to plan

I think it's very likely the AFL will expect every club to tighten their belts so that 18 clubs can remain.

Personally, I would rather merge St Kilda and GC Suns, with some version of uncontracted players of both teams all becoming free agents and the teams being forced to trade highly paid players to stay under the salary cap. I'd also prefer a Melbourne and North Melbourne merger.

I don't think either will happen.
