They made the team after round 5, notice their overall score is the same as their weekly score, so its not even good trading just people chasing the weekly prize. Dreamteam needs to make a rule that u are not eligible for any prizes if your teams not in b4 round 1.

It is definently a hack, L.Hodge is the cheapest starter. Even if you start late you still get a salary cap, just lucky they chose the injured Richo otherwise they would have won the weekly.

It's obviously a hack. VS should be able to easily run a check at the completion of each round to detect this sort of thing happening, and deal with it before releasing the results. As a computer scientist it reeks of incompetence, just like the fiasco last week with the zero scores counting.
No. it's not a "hack".
they've obviously chosen to play the 29-man squad from the start of the season. this means they'll score 0pts for not completing their squad, however, they were still able to make unlimited trades and make millions of $$$.
it's well within the rules, and was explained earlier on the season in a different thread.
good on em' for trying it - now we know it actually works !!

Never mind this team, it's obvious that it's a hack by the team value over the number of weeks played. The problem now is that the whole competition is compromised. If the hack is discovered and applied by a leading team then it's hello unlimited trades!

and i dare say we're gonna be seeing a lot more of these teams in the coming weeks, because i remember forecasting 6-8rds and you'll have enough money for a team of guns + the best available cash cows from each position.
... not to mention 20 trades remaining.

This was the first bad week to have Ablett captain too, anyone doing this who had balls to pick Chappy or Goddard as their captain would have got it.
I reckon they wouldn't pay out though, they'd look into it first particularly with a team like that and it would be deemed outside the spirit of the comp.

It's still a hack. I didn't say somebody cracked into the back-end, fiddled with the code and made a team that way.
Is this different to previous years? I thought any squad under 30 players was wiped during each lockout.

if this is allowed to stand, it is a complete crock of sh*t. it's not a "hack" exactly, but it's completely dishonest and this person's DT account should be deactivated. i wonder whether it's one of DWD's accounts?!?!
