Lazy, cushy Arts/Journalism student up here at Griffith University on the sunny Gold Coast.

Also part-time waitor. I hate the human race as a result of putting up with arseh*le people all day.

I'm at uni (hence the spare time), studying Sport Management at Deakin.

I'm also a checkout chick at Coles in Burwood East. Come in and say if you're in the area. Daics inadvertantly did the other week.

I seem to be spending more time at work than at uni, which probably explains my assignment marks this semester.

Does that mean you're about to be out of a job? Aren't they bringing in legislation to prevent people calling in the evening for surveys?

Nah in case you didn't work it out I'm not really Bush ;). I work casually at Kmart and will hopefully be at ECU next year studying justice or criminology.

Let me know how you get on, because i've missed the boat for next years in take.

Grrrrrrr does that mean I have as well? The idea of a traineeship is also there, however am having a tough time finding a suitable employer. Grrrrrrr.

With the lack of qualified staff, you'd think they'd make it a bit easier for us to get qualified. :o

Didn't know you were unqualified Lioness with you always talking about work and stuff. I thought it was practically imposs to get anything without being qualified.

Speaking from experience however i know when i did childcare i was on a far less rate as the dumby agency workers from overseas who they recruited and they just sat on their behinds while us unqualifieds had to do everything

Yep I know the feeling. The pay is absolute CRAP. And actually I'm about to start agency work so don't knock us too much. ;)

But no I'm not qualified, I was doing a qualified's job for a while (coz they couldn't find anyone) and am on **** pay and all but hey, you work in child care for the love of the job. :) Oh and it is almost impossible to get anything without qualifications now which is why I want to get them. :p

Yeh takes ages at Tafe though. Traineeships would be good but hard to live off them.

Know what you mean about doing the qualifieds job. They left me in charge of the whole room on my own lol (3-4 year olds arrrgh) was cool but against the law!

Yup, research this:

I heard there was a recipe for a Bloody Mary that is green. Called a 'Vulcan Mary.' Uses tomato juice from what I heard. I experimented around, but adding green food additive to tomato juice looks like 'Diarrhea Mary.' If you can ask some of the drunks at your clinic how to pull this off - and make it green, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Peace,

This may be dumb, but would the juice of unripened tomatos fit the bill?

Yeah am not keen on that TAFE one, that's the part time one yeah? I was told with a traineeship that I'd get $320 a week which I could JUST live on, it'd only be about $50 or so less than what I'd be getting if I worked full time as an assistant, and I'd be willing to go without that extra money for a while.

hahahaha yes you're right about it being against the law to not have a qualified person in the room - I was in charge of ours for MONTHS. We had a few temps go through who were qualified so that was ok, but as far as the planning for the room and all that, I did that. I guess it was a good learning experience, but was a bit much when I wasn't trained to do any of that!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm well I'm over in the west, in Newport.......bit far. Might still be worth giving them a call though they might be able to help me find somewhere closer to home that might offer a traineeship, worth a try anyways. ;) Cheers Spidey!!!! :)
