So why does Adams escape the spotlight. How do you think he went as skipper?

He's had a good year, but his last two have been bad. Grundy will probably cop crap for hitouts, but he kept putting it on a platter to Adams tonight and Adams kept knocking the platter over - glasses flying everywhere and the ball towards Freo's end.

he had a couple moments. But there wasn't enough of them. But clearly a lot of players are down right now.

I really enjoyed his spin near the boundary, before the ball was turned over. He needs to work harder though.

Has been average the last two games, almost seems injured to me, but is the engine of our midfield, hes a bull, runs both ways and applies pressure unlike most our mids and we are much worse off without him. He is the least of problems atm...Treloar on the other hand is a worry, skills worse than Adams, doesn't defend, accumulates nothing possessions and seems to have lost the break away speed after the double hammy which used to be his main attribute.

we need to trade adams and treloar while they still have some value. complete overhaul of the list at the end of the year.... i think there might be as little as 15 players remaining. obviously lost key intellectual property when losting longmuir - need to find coaches with new ideas. transition to a new board. we also need to update our sponsors to something more future-looking. we should investigate a long-term move to WA.

I'm quickly becoming less and less of a fan. He's certainly not the 2nd coming of Luke Ball that I hoped he would be. He, like many of our mids, is totally exposed when Pendles is out. Both as a leader and as a player.

We can't rely on Pendles to cover all our midfielders weaknesses', despite his greatness. He's probably only got 3-4 years left (I'm quite optimistic about his longevity given his toughness and IQ). Adams should not be our next captain. Loses his cool and doesn't lead too well. Should be Grundy or Moore
