Well Drew said we pushed a half forward up at the stoppage and left Black and LT to try and "cover off the loose man" (2 against 1), utter stupidity. What good is winning the ball if you just kick it straight to McKenzie every time. Coaching staff didn't give them a chance to get it forward.
Anybody would've told them to man up, win your contest and beat your opponent, then we'd really see who are the players who can't win their own ball and they should be dropped immediately.
Coaches and players and leaders need to set some standards like Geelong did.

Well aware of the context...............but last night, I would have liked to see the coach.......you know......do something.
Interesting to see Kanga Kennedy's take on the famous quote. It was in response to some of his over educated (Kennedy's description) players saying "I think we should do this, do that etc". From a school teacher it seems a little harsh but Kanga was definitely "old school". Today's metro sexual over paid players wouldn't be able to handle Kennedy's philosophy of playing for the jumper and the win. His attitude to the "Battle of Britain" was so how I believed football should be played, it certainly didn't do Al Clarkson any harm in the long run.

2 of the best coaches in the game ex-Rooboys... life sucks sometimes

you don't have to look far to see why it hasn't been fixed. Brad Scott presser today finally admitting some senior players are not performing. If he actually did something about it a month ago maybe some players would pull the finger out and who knows what may happen.

Listening to SEN this morning with Mark Fine and one if his guests was Stephen Salisbury from Sacramento who is a US sports commentator. Anyway at the end of his US sports review he asked Mark Fine a question. He asked Mark Fine why North Melbourne were so aweful this year? He wanted to know why a team with a talented list and who made finals last year had only beaten 4 bottom teams. He went to ask whether it was a leadership or coach issue. Finey said it was a combination but I found it funny that a US commentator wanted to know why North were crap this year. Lol

Maybe we're just that bad atm.

We can't make finals (we could but will be very very hard) so we should be atleast getting the little things right and try and try some new things out and be ready to make finals next year and be a dangerous side in september

Because they aren't just "simple fixes". It isn't simple to completely rectify a groups mental stability, which is obviously tarnished and fragile. It isn't simple to create leadership when we have minimal. It isn't simple to improve our defensive side when we quite obviously play a purely attacking game plan with little to no emphasis on defensive mind set and application.

It is not simple, Brad Scott is full of s***.
Post of the year. Spot on.
Don't tell me, "we know what we need to fix and they're only little things. And that's what makes it exciting." And then dish up poo for the next month.
Don't treat me as a fool. I won't accept it. I simply won't.

Because the whole area takes a lot of work and it's not something you can do overnight.
The actual thing is complex because there's a lot of little things defensively we need to do that our younger players are shying away from doing. This is where the everyone needs to be patient bit.
Its funny how quick people expect these things to occur - 2 years ago we were the worst team by foot in the comp, now we are the best - itll come and when it does - look out.

Believe it or not he supported the Hawks but then became an avid North followe in his time in AUS. Was known as a Northawn supporter before he came in blue and white.

True that. I often chat with Steve on FB about footy. He lived in Hawthorn, which was why he supported them, but chose North because he loved the way we went about it and, being a smaller club, it reminded him of his beloved Sacramento Kings back home.

I heard him this morning too and he added "why hasn't the heat come onto Brad Scott?"

Finey said we'd had some close losses to top teams, some we shouldn't have lost, but the pundits retained faith due to the fact we were so competetive, and even dominant in patches against top opposition. The GC unexpected loss was a shocker, as was the performance on the weekend against Freo. "One more unexpected loss like the Gold Coast one and I'm sure the blow torch will be turned on Brad Scott by the media and demanded by the fans."

Whatever these things are that need to be fixed they better be fixed fast because looking at our fixture on the run home we will receive some huge floggings otherwise

So being serious, would a five point loss to GWS be more beneficial than a five goal win?

I think so, we can't go on like this.

We've heard it this year a few times from the coach that our losses were due to issues that have been identified and were easy fixes. Yet we still continue to lose through soft unaccountable football.

So either the players are not teachable or the coach can't teach?

Time to make a decision. Either drop those numbskulls who refuse to rectify their issues or sack the coach who can't get his message across.

Time for some real leadership down at the club.
We may as well drop them now because this season is over.
