Presti is not in our best 22 anymore?

The finalised team line-ups are in...Lokan, Davis, Maxwell and McGough are on the bench.

That means that Prestigiacomo, Walker and Swan are the emergencies with Swan being the only one dropped with Tarrant suspended.

So after all that...
In - Buckley, Holland
Out - Tarrant, Swan

By the way Armstrong got dropped from Melbourne and they brought back Ben Holland. So wouldn't either Presti or Walker be a better bet with that?
 
I noticed that, I thought it was quiet interesting. I do think that Presti is still in our best 22 but may have been left out perhaps because certain players don't yet deserve to be dropped, and for match up. Also why change a wining team unless you have too.
I very much doubt that rocca will play.
 
I watch the second half of last weeks WFC game and how Presti got into the best players was beyond me.

I think he had 5 goals kicked on him by a kid.
 
i wouldnt be surprised if one of presti or walker came in as late replacement for rocca
i hope rocca plays but im not all that confident

Thats ****ing Bull****, you Cannot imagine how ****ed i'am. Swan has Done nothing wrong and definately doesnt deserve to be dropped. Infact when we were losing he was one of our best players. Just give him some damn time on the ground and he'll do the job.

Matty Lokan, i like him but he hasn't done much and needs to go to the Reserves and Gain some form.
 
It is true,we do have protected players whon are unworthy of that title. Buckley,Burns,Woey,Clement,Licca,Tarrant,Rocca,Tarks,Johnson, Fraser and id say Wakelin are all worthy of being protected.

In that same bracket Mick places the likes of Matty Lokan, Ryan Lonie, Richie Cole and Alan Didak. All four of them players play a good game amongst a bunch of four or 5 bad ones and resonable ones.
Lonie-since halfway through last year and the first 5 rounds of this season should have been dropped on frequent occasions, PROTECTED!!!

Cole-Coming good now but has been more than worth of playing VFL footy, PROTECTED!!!!

Lokan-5 possies a game, time for VFL, PROTECTED!!!!

Didak-better than the other 3, but his natural ability hasnt been evident enough in terms of consistency.He has needed to be dropped from time to time but he is PROTECTED!!!!

Swan has been great this season and then MM started playing him on the bench. He started on the bench against the Crows on the back of some top form. He had very limited time in that game and that has to be a shot to the kids confidence.

Maxwell is also a joke selection, he hasnt done anything! and yet he is selected over Swan.C'Mon Mick, lift ya game. No FAVOURITES!!!
 
I'de like to see Walker get a good shot at playing senior football, he is only 20 very level headed and also a very nice kid to boot.

Didak I thought needed a little head shrinking time at WFC but has come good lately. He has earned his place and should keep it.

I Agree with Tess.

But at The Current time with Guy Richards doing so well in the Ruck and Cameron Cloke doing everything asked of him also having an impact on every game he plays (Something young players struggle to do), it is very hard for Walker to get into the line up when hes competing with: C Cloke, J Cloke, Richards. Not to mention Tarrant and Rocca in the same forward line. etc.

We Have many of these sized players close to selection etc.
 
Doesnt look like any thing, it's Probly just match ups... Maxwell will keep the bench warm during the cold conditions any way so I don't see the point in playing him.

Lonie on Bruce ???
Wakelin on Neitz
J.Cloke on Miller
 
As Lonie_From_50 pointed out the match-ups i think we match up well with Melbourne. But Presti on Neitz would be better than Wakes on Neitz.

My question is this. What exactly was his injury. It seemed to be far worse than was first reported and from his games in the VFL seems to have really knocked his confidence.
I must admit that I have been impressed by Tex's use of the ball at VFL level. I think we have to give him a try, he's a BIG kid and might just take a little longer to develop.

True about Walker but we have many of thbe Same height etc competing for the same spots.

For Rocca i would rather have walker to play in the forward line because i know he can do something up there whereas presti is just a backman npothing else, also i don't mind watching walker play.

I reckon if Swanny played today he would've played well. Just an inkling i have,.lol.

Presti's a bona-fide key position full back. Period.

Maxwell is a rangey flanker, who is versatile.

Swan is versatile, but not tall enough to play against tallish defenders.

Saying Presti's not as good as Maxwell and rubbish like that is bull****, unless they're playing for the same spot.

Unless of course we're talking about Kinnear & Williams, as their selection would be a waste of space in general.
