Will this become the new buzzword if we lose to Melbourne this week?

Why would you anticipate failure at this stage? Let's see what the lads can do to recover from last week's upset before we start running down our own players.

I expect us to win every week.... but some games I think we have every right to demand we win, like this one.

I agree with this, but don't see the connection between this quite proper expectation and the thread title and OP.

I expect to win this one too, 18 points therabouts.

But god help us if we dont, we stand to go 0-4 if things start going pear shaped.

Still dont know why Rocca isn't at least on the IC bench. As I'm figuring L Brown might get a bit of time on the ball.

*Facepalm*

I can't believe you can even contemplate conceding defeat to Melbourne of all clubs!

Why Cox though?

Coz he aint AFL match fit. No point in him in the team for people to bag when he's not up to scratch. I can't wait till he returns but not until he at least shows he can more than run out full VFL games.

My concern is that if they want him to play against Geelong, that will be far more taxing on him if they play Scarlett on him than anyone Melbourne can throw at him, as Scarlett will run off him and REALLY test his match fitness.

So, if he doesnt play tomorrow, I'm thinking he might not get a run until Brisbane.

P.S. Has he ever really been 'match' fit? ever?

Not when you compare him to the other power forwards.

Sav had a bigger tank, and would put in a second and third contest. Anthony is normally buggered after the first, and is sucking in the deep ones leaving him out of any further contests.

Still love him though. We need to get it to the forwards much quicker. Ala hawks last friday night. Late in the game against Geelonk, that's what the dawks were doing and Roughhead and Franklin had a field day.

Never understood the reasoning behind this type of softening up approach, just so that one can say "I told you so"
Just more of the "Look at me, look at me" mentality I guess.

We need Rocca in our side even if he doesnt kick goals we just need him to make a contest so our small fowards can get the crumbs and if we lose to Melbourne this Saturday i will be looking for someone to sell my membership to.

I'd say the wet weather is the real problem with playing Rocca this week. I can't imagine a heavy deck will do his achilles any favours, it's just not worth risking him in those conditions. As much as I hate to say it L Brown is a sensible inclusion this week with Reid and Dawes not really standing up, and I guess you can add Bryan and Wood to that list too. I remember a lot of people saying and myself included "if we have to play Brown we'll be in real trouble this year" so its a bit of a worrying sign that he's in the team for round 2 !! That the selection makes sense is even worse
