How far away's the season?

SOLOMON INJURY BLOW

Dean Solomon will be sidelined for the next eight weeks after rupturing a tendon in his right hand at training this morning. Solomon will have surgery tomorrow morning to repair the damage. Solomon sustained the injury after the finger got caught in the jumper of a teammate during a tackling drill. The injury is the same as that suffered by Matthew Lloyd in the Round 6 clash against Fremantle in 2002.

I hope this is not a sign of things to come in terms of injuries.

Damn.

Season is 7 weeks away.

He wont be there until probably Round 2 or 3.

Only postive that can be taken from this is he can still do most training so fitness should be ok - however his ball skills/ confidence tackling will be worse for wear.

What the hell is it with Essendon and bloody dumb @rse impossible to do but somehow we doe em injuries

The other positive to come out of a long term injury like this, is it gives a chance for one of the kids to come out and present themselves for a long and good period of time.

Just be thankfull no player has missed a game due to "torn Ar*ehole", not that that sort of injury should be possible to begin with.

i don't think he will have any problem with his tackling when he comes back though.
