Some hope and perspective

The way I see it, we are running around with an injured list - which sucks

What sucks even more is our inability to put in 4 quarter efforts

Once we get players back, I'm sure we will be more likely to put in 4 quarter efforts - hell, we are 5 and 5 after 10 games and are still in the 8 with the worst injury list out of any teams this season so far

If we'd have had these injuries last year we would not have won even close to 5 of the games we've won - we're not getting destroyed (St. Kilda the only exception and possibly the Hawthorn/Richmond blow-outs) which is a plus but we need that killer instinct and to play four quarters every week - otherwise we're no chance

At least there's some light at the end of the tunnel with some injured players coming back (Sandilands may even be back sooner than expected - even Barlow as we've taken it really slow with him and he looks bloody sharp)

We all thought the first bye was a point of survival then things would start to get better - but for every player we got back from injury, we sacrificed two more players plus the chance to win pretty much all of the games after that point

We need to hold strong and play some good, hard, contested football for four quarters - the first three quarters of the Hawthorn game was better than anything I saw in 2010 - especially given who we actually had on the park!

Let's just keep positive - we're at the pass park for 10 rounds with a horrible list and a real lack of momentum

I agree.

After watching youtube clips from 2010 I feel confident we can return to that level. Yes we're missing personnel but as they return we will only get better. If we can get at least 3 out of 4 wins in the next 4 weeks I reckon we can go a long way.

I'm talking Top 4 - signs were good against go
