He played a blinder today stepped up in that third term, lets hope he gains some confidence and CONSISTENCY. I would still like him to chase a bit harder and attack the ball at ground level every ounce in a while.

Consistency will come if given a chance to string 3 or 4 games to settle in

He should be always played as a forward pocket.

With the expectation he will be inconsistent, flash in and out of the game sort of a player, similar to welsh. I think he offers a lot of value if he plays this role

i tend to agree with the above poster to a point

however Luke did a role that we were screaming up for - a crumber and a 3rd/4th forward

A couple of lukes goals would have not been goals for other players because Luke first thought is to kick the ball and get it out in the open or for a goal
other players like Douglas prefer to jump on it and try to get it out that way.

i'm not saying either way is right or wrong, I'm just saying that Luke is the only player in our side who prefers to kick it (except Burton) hence his result today and crazy goals

and please if I here someone say his goals were in Junk time i'm going to scream

He looked good when he actually attacked the ball on a lead.

Then he took that very good mark ( it was no more than that) then he decided to play from behind again. For a forward he should always play in front.

Until he learns that his performances will be up and down and against a good opponent he will suffer.

Was it Luke's 1st goal in the 3rd quarter that was the game turner? If I recall correctly, it came after Basett's brilliant save in the goal square. I don't remember them touching the ball he length of the ground until it finished up with Jericho. Junk time...nah.

No junk time stuff for Jericho today, very pleased to see him kick some very good opportunist type goals when they were needed in the third. Think he definitely has a place as a forward pocket type in our team, has some pretty special skills when he gets going, shame he hasn't been able to do it before. Took a couple of special contested grabs as well, great work from Jericho.

he had a very good game and is a very good player for us.

some of the above posters need to have a good hard close look at themselves.

It annoys me when i see crows supporters taking cheap potshots from the peanut gallery. Taking potshots at the toughness of a professional athlete while sitting on your fat arse browsing a web site is a bit weak.

Perhaps a moment in the room of mirrors... why didn't you make it as an afl player?"

Thought he was great today and whilst he was quiet in the first half he really stepped it up and we saw what he is capable of. More of the same next week Luke against better opposition.

First game I've been able to be to for a few years, and we sat RIGHT in the middle of the Richmond cheer squad.

Ah, the joy of shouting out "Jer-i-cho!!" at the top of your lungs three times in five minutes ...

Nice

I dont think Jericho was sighted during junk time today. All his work was done when it was needed. IIRC the same could be said in the WCE game??
