to change a bit of the trade and rumor threads a bit of different topic...

I live in sydney and i was at the local shopping mall in the food court and something caught my eye..

It was a Islamic family ordering some food and at the corner of my eye i saw a young boy with his brother both wearing a Richmond hat :thumbsu:

Now i dont know why but i got the strange feeling Houli is having an effect on the Islamic community in Australia and is opening a new fan base for the Richmond tigers.

if people are so what if a kid is wearing a footy hat... but the thing is its very difficult to see a young kid were any thing afl related in sydney.. and it would most likely be a Sydney Swans thing..

i reckon Houli is helping our club in more ways than just on the footy field :thumbsu:

Cool, great role model not just for Australia's Islamic community, but for our general community, Houli just seems like a good person.

totally agree. :thumbsu:

i think Richmond is doing what GWS wants to do

I play footy up in Sydney in the local league. In that league there is a team which I think is from Auburn, who are the Auburn Tigers. These guys had an expose done on them during last years GF telecast. Many of the team members (if not all) are Muslim. They jumped two divisions last year from 4th to 2nd because they won every game for the whole year....

I know that with a teetotal lifestyle, you would be able to run rings around most of the teams up here with that alone....

This line has been quoted for awesomeness.

I love getting on the gas up in Sydney. There's always a rugby team out on the turps that's bound to be blinder than I am.

I was in the Tiger superstore the weekend of the Sydney game or the thursday and he came in for something. I asked about the correct pronounciation of his name. He told me, walked over offered his hand and just made time to talk for a few moments. Overall came across as well spoken and sincere. We could certainly do alot worse than Bachar & as far as tea drinking goes he'd be in good company at Tigerland with a couple of blokes called K.B & one young T. Hafey.

So how do we say his name? Have we been saying it right?

I saw a 4 year old boy with a tigers guernsey on whilst I was shopping. His dad was a Collingwood supporter, and he saw me wearing my Tiger's guernsey and cap and he came up and hugged me. A complete stranger for being a tigers supporter. I asked him why he barracks for the Tigers and he said cos his dad hates them. :thumbsu: Classy little fellow :D
