I've noticed so many current tunes which get voted up into our Top 5 which are clearly inferior to the timeworn classics which barely get into the double figures. Inferior by every objective measure, apart from the fact, they sound cool - they benefit from the latest studio gadgetry, plug-ins and production tricks

I can't find an effective argument against this.
