Extremely hard draws for Hewitt

People shouldn't be disappointed when Hewitt gets a tough draw.

If he wants an easier draw he should get higher up the rankings.

He's a dud these days.

He should expect a tough draw... although it gives him and his fans something to complain about before the tournament even starts.

I don't know if you're implying I'm a fan or not, but I'm not. He's still Top 20 and won a Las Vegas a month ago, whether or not he still has the passion for the game he's hardly a dud. I don't know why people have to bring allegiances in when assessing tennis players.

In Miami news; Neimenen gives Korolev a double bagel 6-0 6-0 which is quite rare. He now plays Nalbandian.

Canas came through against JCF.

Youzhny's still going.

Federer back on the winners list with a straight sets win over Querrey. Once step closer to a rematch with Canas after Willy won a long three setter against Ferrero.

If rafa is playing like he did at IW, then Youzhny will lose.In all the matches where rafa lost to Youzhny his performance was well below what he is capable of.

Federer looked kinda sluggish against Querrey, i soooo much hope this time that Rafa gets fed in the final. These courts are perferct for Rafa

My favourite young player blows Youzhny off court (well, the wind did alot of the work). Sets up match with Nadal. Nadal will have to be careful because JMDP has a steady temperament and can hit the ball very flat and very, very fast (stands at 1m96).

Nadal will win, Del Potro is a good player but not cpnsistent enough to beat Rafa. Rafa in 2

Tomas Berdych finally puts together a solid performance! :thumbsu:

9 aces, 0 double faults in his 6-4, 6-1 win over Arnaud Clement.

Watch out for Tomas! ;)
Famous run from Berdych goes down to Chela in straight sets whose good run of form continues.
American Amer Delic upsets Davydenko for a spot in the 4th round.

Looks like i am overrating The birdman? :p
What can be said about Berdych? I don't care how good form Chela may be in, this was another awful loss for Tomas. This has been a terrible year for him.

And I was actually getting my hopes up after Davydenko lost and opened up the draw. :( Wasted oppertunity.

Fat Dave loses again! :( Shocking early season form. Someone I was talking tennis to today made a very good point about him:

He does really well at Grand Slams because he trains.
He is virtually unbeatable at DC because he trains harder.

I fear that one of my favourite players will always be unfulfilled talent. If only he was committed.

Anyway,

JMDP plays Nadal after 9pm on Centre Court tomorrow, which will be a good viewing hour for us Aussies. I expect it to be Rafa in straights, but I'll still be there to support the RR killer.

Other highlights include:

PHM (playing very well) versus Murray.

Feli Lopez (lol!) versus Nole.

And probably the most interesting of all, the American/Bosnian steam train Amer Delic who plays Chela. Amer Delic is a little-known serve volleyer who, after scraping into the Main Draw, has bagelled Bennetau, then bagelled Acasuso, then brushed aside the world number 4 Davydenko in straight sets. I hope his run continues on the blue clay. :)

Daveydenko is average though. One f the worst world no3's I can ever remember!
He remains in the loophole.

Davydenko is the best Mickey Mouse tournament player of all time. He plays twice as many tourneys as everyone else and just scrounges the points. He will never get much respect though, but he did finally get a clothing sponsor this year :thumbsu:
