2 back surgeries this year which is a major concern.
Back problems never seem to fully recover, they only repair to a 'manageable' level.
Agree though that he has some real x-factor, but a risk.

Just looked up Hockings record, forgot he was caretaker for the remainder of 2012 for Port. Can't see how he would show up the frontrunners...

Probably just enquiries to see if he's interested in applying. When Hocking was interim coach of Port after the Primus sacking he didn't apply to become senior coach, so I dont think he has ambitions to become a senior coach.

Brennan, Kyall Horsley, Gilbee, Boston, Mav Weller, Jack Martin, Wilkinson, Flash all played the majority of their games in the NEAFL last year. Rischitelli, Stanley played a few games and even Tom Lynch booted 10 in his 2 games. Don't think we had that quality in 2014. Lot more top ups.
