the letter to the members did give us an update. we're not being kept in the dark. no club is going to make every single detail of an internal process public knowledge.

in the letter, it was addressed that "an implementation plan has been prepared and will be put forward to the board at our next meeting on 23rd of October for approval". so take that as you will. i read it as they've arranged a plan for the selection of the new coach and other matters moving forward, which will be looked over in the board meeting on the 23rd. the players regroup for preseason in November, so by the end of October, I believe we'll have a new coach.

i was a bit iffy with the timing of it all, but we've landed malceski. i have faith that we're going to do the right thing now.

I think the club are acting in a measured, planned and professional way and the Malceski deal happened, CEO happened and coach will happen. I reckon we will see another gun player landed within the next week or even tomorrow to cap it off

It can be revealed (Cathy) Freeman has also become a key figure at the club acting as a mentor to several of the Suns indigenous players and has forged a particularly strong bond with Harley Bennell and Jarrod Harbrow.

Firstly, that's ****ing awesome. Secondly, can we assume she's a Suns fan then? Harry Kewell, Mick Fanning and Cathy Freeman are pretty good high-profile fans to have!

Nah not much. Just a few voluntary tasks as part of the cheer squad back in the day. Don't really do it any more at home, but help out a bit at the away games

I liked that article with Andrew Travis. There seems to be a clear idea what they're doing now; namely fixing our depth (i.e. our NEAFL side) and getting mature-aged players to act as mentors.

No interviews, etc, etc, etc. What a piss poor conversation by our club with its fans, members, players, potential players etc. PISS POOR EFFORT. LIKE A SUNS FINALS FAIL. WE HAVENT STOPPED FAILING SINCE GAJ did his shoulder....

Update. we got nothing, and we pay to go through the gate.

The choice of our next coach is absolutely crucial and I don't give a fat rats that the club is quiet.
We are only 4 years away from Swallow, Bennell, Prestia, McKenzie, Matera, Day, Lynch, Dixon, Thompson etc becoming restricted free agents.
Get this appointment wrong and we jeopardize finals success & clubs will line up to pick the eyes out of our list with massive $$$ in 3-4 years time.
Fremantle were silent and ended up with Ross Lyon. Patience tiger.
