Agreed but who is to say Melbourne aren't overplaying their hand too? They have a new coach, want to free up that cap space and get picks for a mini-rebuild and Gold Coast know this. I wouldn't just cave into whatever crazy demands Melbourne have just because he's a contracted player.

Well I would. 6 foot 4 wingman with genuine power and footy smarts. I felt he lacked toughness early in his career, but certainly didn’t shirk the contest last time I watched him and he is quicker than he first looks. I suppose it would depend on what his conditioning was like, and whether his motivation was right but I certainly think he would make us a better team. We also bid on him so obviously spent time on him as a junior.

nb. I make no mention of his off field issues because personally I make it a point to never judge people I haven’t met, but since most people don’t share this view I suppose the club would have to consider the supporter bases views on him as well.

Surely Sydney or Bulldogs etc... who desperately need a good key defender would make a big play. He's got some limitations, but he is a very solid lock down defender.

It's literally the only thing Nicks is supposedly good at. We should be the best club in the league for this.

You'll all be very happy to know there is a very good player not spoken of in the media close to coming to the crows, The other club will hopefully agree to allow thr trade in the last few days of TP, They are happy to come here, and would be a 5 year deal if goes through. This will be out in media just before it hits.

Yup, likewise. As much as Butts completely sucks at the one thing that gives key defenders a lot of value (intercepting; and this is what suck Essendon in with McKay), you'd think there would have been a club desperate enough to pay a decent amount for an ok-ish KPD.

Unless the AFL world at large has seen right through Jordon and that his run of solid play was more a consequence of Worrell/Keane breaking out then anything Jordon did/offered.
