Well according to something I read the other day, Player Managers will now often refuse to let their clients talk to interstate clubs at all. So for all we know his manager has blocked approaches.

What’s funny is if we had a 20 year old getting 30 in the sanfl we would sign him up for 4 years. Geelong only keep the best!

Because upon signing the player probably went through a questionnaire and interview with their manager declaring if they want to speak to all clubs or only certain clubs in certain states.
