hence why its obvious posturing. They know he is 30, they want his stupid back ended contract off the books so they can chase younger long term options. But the posturing is for their members benefit really. Just to give the optics that they will get the best deal possible. Fact is the way AFL trading works, everyone deep down knows they will have to accept probably unders due to his contract and his age.

Melbourne probably trying to distract from the fact that they are trying to avoid people finding out they signed a stupid length contract to keep a player until they are 33 with a huge dollar value.

I hope all of our eggs aren’t in the one basket, I hope we have some plan b’s moving forward.

From a list perspective we have had 2 retire (5, 33) and 2 primary list and 1 rookie list delisting (4, 26, 45) and delisted and replaced a Cat B Rookie (36). Therefore currently leaving 5 list spots available. Possibly another rookie spot pending Burgess being delisted after Tex is renewed. So 6 list spots available, 4 primary and 2 rookie.

From a draft perspective, we currently have 6 draft picks, nothing of too much importance given the compromised draft, so I imagine maybe one or two of those are used.

Our list is not going to get better by bringing in rookies, given our selection committee refuses to play them effectively in their first year, therefore it has to be established talent.

Surely there are more irons in the fire?

If wife really wasn't interested in moving to Adelaide - I don't see why she'd have any interest in spending an entire day at the club / Adelaide with him and fly over. There would be 0 need for it, it's a waste of her time.

I also doubt she hasn't spent time in Adelaide before, she'd have been over here multiple times whilst he was playing.

What happened to King's stance of "we feel we can contend for a premiership again" or whatever he said.

Viva la Mattner said the Crows were still exploring Oliver as an option if Petracca didn't eventuate. Doesn't feel like he would be a good fit at Geelong, they've got enough inside bulls.
