My last inside word told me that Kosi Pickett was 100% off to Freo and that info apparently came directly from the horses mouth.......and dead wrong.

But I have also been told that NWM would be going Port to play with mates. This was much earlier in the year. Things change.....Port weren't so crap then and there wasn't such big offers being thrown around. Fingers crossed this also turns out to be dead wrong.

To be fair he said as much himself. Changed managers and told his new one to get him to Freo. His new manager actually convinced him to stay with Melb.

You’d have to think if NWM is staying there would have to be some indication this week.

If he’s leaving he will still keep his mouth shut, currently his mouth is shut.

It might be blind optimism but I think the media having no idea what he’s going to do bodes well for us as well.

Of the three clubs, we would be the most likely to keep it quiet if he was signing to us.

I don't see where we get the currency to get the NWM trade done. Him choosing us is one thing. Two late first rounders isn't going to move the needle. We have no high value players leaving via free agency that would net us another first rounder. At a minimum we would need to let go of a Soligo or a Rachele as well as the draft picks, assuming either of those contracted players would be willing to go. Unless there's something in the wind like a multi player deal to get a high pick from WC or NM.

Seems highly unlikely.
