Forgot to mention this when I was last on but that was first thing Saturday morning so im sure I can be excused ;) At half time I headed to get myself a drink and was queueing up when a familiar face at Subi joined the end of my queue. None other than Chris "Muddy" Waterman. I got my stuff and walked back down past the queue, he gave me a wink as we made eye contact so I stopped and asked him " So are you here spying, watching old mates play or a bit of both?", he grinned and replied "Yeah a bit of both mate". Its not unusual to see this sort of thing at Victorian games as there are so many teams in the one area, but it's the first time ive encountered it at Subi. Im sure it goes on all the time though. The thing that surprised me though is that one of our premiership players from the glory years was able to walk around Subi basically unrecognised by club supporters. In the albeit brief timepsan in which I saw him I didnt see one person give him more than the cursory glance youd give to any other person you didnt know walking past, not one turned head.

Its been a while since he retired, and he wasn't one of the stars of the team either, so it isn't really surprising that he went by unrecognised. To be honest, I wouldn't recognise him if he stepped through my door right now.

You've got to be joking.

I'd recognise him. How did the neck look?

Cant say that I took a good look at his neck but there didnt seem to be anything odd about it. I think that the condition was to do with the base of the neck/top of the spinal column and was one of those internal things you wouldnt see.

Coinsidence indeed!

I don't usually post on other teams boards... but, woah! What a wacky coinsidence! There's another Thrawn on BigFooty? Very interesting indeed... welcome 666, hope you enjoy your stay at BigFooty. I'm sure we Grand Admirals will be able to work together, eliminating Rebel scum. ;)

I see youve got an avatar of Thrawn, that pic looks familiar, from one of the games in the Tie Fighter series?

Thrawn's demise

Just remember that the Grand Admiral was no good in a Rukh contest.

I read them too.

Lord of the Rings (reading now) is better.

Getting back to spies, I saw Phil Smart (Dockers recruiting manager) and some bloke (seemingly from Geelong FC) taking notes on our guys next to us at the last home game against the Cats.

Let me assist, I was down at training tonight, and saw the man run around, and join in some of the training ... he looks fine, the neck seemed aok, and he can still kick the ball damn well :)
