Forgot to mention this when I was last on but that was first thing Saturday morning so im sure I can be excused
At half time I headed to get myself a drink and was queueing up when a familiar face at Subi joined the end of my queue. None other than Chris "Muddy" Waterman. I got my stuff and walked back down past the queue, he gave me a wink as we made eye contact so I stopped and asked him " So are you here spying, watching old mates play or a bit of both?", he grinned and replied "Yeah a bit of both mate". Its not unusual to see this sort of thing at Victorian games as there are so many teams in the one area, but it's the first time ive encountered it at Subi. Im sure it goes on all the time though. The thing that surprised me though is that one of our premiership players from the glory years was able to walk around Subi basically unrecognised by club supporters. In the albeit brief timepsan in which I saw him I didnt see one person give him more than the cursory glance youd give to any other person you didnt know walking past, not one turned head.
