One thing about our success and how we operate differentley to other sides is quite unique.
I know Mick loves role players and everything revolves around the team which has been the cornerstone of our success and has to be applauded.
What strikes me as strange is the inconsistent performance of all of our players outside the top few players.
Ranked in order our top four as far as consistent week in week out performance are.....
Scott pendlebury, Heath Shaw, Dane Swan, Dale Thomas,
The rest of the players on the ground is what makes the difference, how they peform determines the outcome of the game and we seem to be different in that it is never the same guys week in week out doing the job.
Dont get me wrong this is not a critisism at all but players like Steele, Beams, Cloke, Blair, Krakaour, BJ, Leroy, Ball, Reid Wellingham and pretty much the rest seem to play like champs one week and be very quiet the next week.
The thing is when some of those mentioned are down others have cracking games and pick up the slack, it is a complete lottery as to who will play well and who will not out apart from the top 4.
I personally see it as a weapon as it is highly unpredictable as to who to focus on from an opposition piont of view but for me it is highly unusual and it seems these players just dont put in two or three bad games in a row, in fact they quite often put in a bad one then a great game but the order and the player is jumbled and not predictable.
IMO most other sides do not have this, they have players on their list who play to expectation most weeks bar first or second year players.
Imagine we all click at once!!!!!!!!!! I love this aspect of our side but wonder why it occurs and how???
