OUT:
Hinge (omitted)
McGregor (achillies)

IN:
Stevens
Welsh
Edwards
Goodwin

We will go in with the 28 man squad and play everyone

10 interchage players is too many IMO if we intend to play them all as stated.

9 would have been acceptable if that meant Smith wasn't playing. ;)

Seriously though, we do need to settle the structure down a little for the start of the season, and that many interchange players is going to make that a tad difficult.

Actually, I have a feeling that Craig pretty well knows his starting 22 and he's just having a good look at the others.

I think Craigy alredy knows his 22 and is just having a look at some other fringe/younger players. I would be very surprised if he doesn't have at least 95% of his 22 on the white board at this stage of the preparation.

Kenny is a bit of a worry. We need him up and running by round 1. I doubt NC would drop Smith now, I bet he starts him at CHB on friday

EDIT: At least we are settling our forward line :)

Apparently he played less than a quarter and showed some rookie mistakes and also did a couple of nice things. Not overly impressive.
Which realisticaly you would expect jumping from schoolboy to AFL

Means nothing IMO

I must say I am a bit surprised with the 10 man bench  I wouldnt of thought this is the best way to settle the side but hey what would I know. :o
I agree with the others, I would of thought Craig would have his round 1 22 sorted out, this could just be another smoke screen.

I am a bit disappointed Kruegs isnt getting a run but I guess we will just have to keep taking it slowly with him.

Some good players coming back which good to see and will further balance the side for Rnd 1. I havent seen the boys as yet except for the game aggainst Port, can anyone identify where our game plan has improved from 2004 to 2005 ;) Are we playing to that game plan???

ok were the hell is that meat head of a man Krueger - if players like hinge are getting a gig in lincoln and he's running around for the bays wtf are we meant to expect?
Well Hinge has had a full, uninterupted pre-season where as Krueger has hardly been on the track. I think we need to give Krueger as much game time as possible and he will get more time with the bays than with the crows. I am not overly fussed but I would like to see him play a game or 2 for the crows towards the end of the year if he can stay injury free.

Kenny dropping out raises a very interesting question. Who will play CHB?????? Will it be Smith ? Or will it be Bock? Do we play Hentschel at CHB and cover his loss in the forward line with Fergus Watts?????? It will be interesting to see how we line up on friday.

I would like us to play Hentschel at CHB and bring in Watts to play his role in the forward line.

We are moving the ball forward MUCH MUCH quicker than we did this time last year. Last year we played the chipping style going sideways where as this year we are moving the ball forward much quicker and are trying to be much more direct.

The new style has more flair to it and its more attacking. When we are executing the plan properly then we are running in numbers from the backline move the ball forward quickly at all costs.

We are also trying to make the forward line a bit more open where our HFF are pushed further up the ground, almost to the wings.

Yeah I could see that our forwardline was alot more open against Port but at times was crowded, think it's important that we create that space as Stevo is strong on the lead, and if Hudson is also going to spend time in the forwardline then he is another who is strong on the lead, think Perrie and Welsh then to take alot of overhead marks not so much players who lead for the ball.

We are definetly trying to create space but you have to consider what the opposition is doing. The opposition floods back and blocks up that space and thats what happened agaisnt Port and thats what will be happening every time we play someone. We try to move it forward quickly so we don't give the opposition time to get the numbers back. No sane coach will allow his opponent to have space it the forward line. We just have to get better in the contested situations.

Yeah exactly right, I think over the course of the year we will get better at it, what other 'game plans' do we have?????

This is why it's good to stay in the Wizzer.....practice games that don't mean anything with 10 on the bench when NC already knows his R1 line up is just an Anterior Cruciate waiting to happen IMO.... :(

hopefully we can use the next 2 games to ease some of the injuries back in and not collect anymore.

Kenny's AT is a worry.........do we know if it is serious ?

I must say that I agree with Neil Craig's plans for tomorrow night with the 10-man bench.

The Regional matches are perfect for trying our everyone, and seeing who will be in your best 22 come Round 1.

There's really no need to play all our best players and nothing but our best players right now - what's that going to achieve?

This way we can get a look at everyone, which is something we need right now due to our gameplan and the mere fact that Round 1 is a click away. :)

This game's not on telly, is it?

If not, I'll probably wander down.

I wouldnt of thought so, not of FTA anyway as they have the Kangaroos West Coast game on.

I will more than likely be heading up there depending on the weather anyway.

These games never are so you would have to grab hold of that walking stick and wander down to Footy Park :p

Believe it or not there was a time when 7 showed Crows trial matches. Back in the early 90's. I remember a Crows trial against West Coast in Bunbury or some other WA country town was shown on TV.
