Pretty strong really, which was to be expected with our injury list.

Club Rookies selected: Alvey, Houli and MM.

Notable seemingly fit absentees: McPhee, MJ and probably others.

I can tell you that Mcphee has a minor shoulder problem from last fridays intra club game (as i reported in the NAB Cup thread).
GOD indicated that MJ may miss because of his shoulder and the fact they may give him some more time.

Is Gumby going to play on Sat? :)

Well he isnt named in the squad , reports are he went off early at training yesterday and is still suffering some knee soreness.
To answer your question i would say no he isnt.

That's a shame. Woould have been great to see some new KP talent in the Dons forward line rather than the same old Lucus and Lloyd lead-dive show. :)

I don't think he will.

He's been wearing the "do not tackle" bib during some Essendon training sessions .

Actually he hasnt for the last week and a bit He participated full contact in fridays intra club hitout and completed all the body on body work on Monday. I didnt get to see training yesterday but it was reported by someone there that he went off early with a slight limp so his knee problem may be back..

Well it would be great to see something new in your posts as well rather than the same dribble you have been serving up for the last 3 years but you cant always get what you want :p

Interesting squad. Quite a few players there (bold) playing for their careers in 2007. I guess Sheeds is giving them every chance from an early stage to prove themselves, before introducing all the new draftees. :)

Given half the blokes you have in bold have signed two year deals i suspect they wont be playing for their careers in 2007 ;)

Will Setanta be expecting a headlock if he lines up in the forward pocket? ;)

I think Denis will start Setanta on Johns, and allow Setanta to use his height, pace and talent advantage to provide rebound out of defence. Thornton will take Lloyd, and Bower will take Lucas. So we have your talls pretty easily covered. Plus we have Hartlett and Lance who can play KP defensive roles if required. The Blues really have got some impressive KP defensive talent nowdays, unlike several years ago. :)

I have to disagree with you but Id love it if he did, Johns would tear him a new one and put him in hospital on his first lead into space. Lucas will basically have a field day if that were the case. Id be expecting Whitnall to be lining up on Lucas. Have you been drinking or something?
