Stats for the players that are not playing tonight who played against us in round 2.

1.Adam Schneider: 18 disposals 10 marks 2 goals 3
2.Michael Gardiner: 12 disposals 8 marks 20 hit outs
3.Fraser Gehrig: 6 disposals 4 marks 4 goals 1
4.Xavier Clarke: 21 disposals 8 marks 3 goals
5.Aaron Fiora: 15 disposals 5 marks'
6.Jarryn Geary: 18 disposals 5 marks
7.Leigh Fisher 6 disposals 4 tackles (Tagged Judd out of the game)

Inclusions instead of them, playing tonight:
1.Jarryd Allen
2.Sean Dempster
3.James Gwilt
4.David Armitage
5.Robert Eddy
6.Andrew Mcqualter
7.Clinton Jones

My point is all the players that played against us in round 2 had a big impact. We lost by 40 points but but the players combined that arn't playing tonight kicked 9 goals between them. Not to mention that Gehrig has kicked 32 goals in our past 6 games and his still still on the sidelines. Leigh Fisher who did a terrific job on Judd is also out and with Baker not playing, you can expect Juddy to have a night out.
Hopefully the absence of some of the players mentioned will be missed and the players that are replacing them in the likes of Gwilt, Mcqualter, Eddy and Allen have a minimal impact on the game like expected.

Some good signs hey, but you have to remember that at that time Goddard wasnt playing, Gram was horribly out of form, Ball was not fit, Kosi hit some form last week & Riewoldt was wrapped up in all kinds of tape.

Much of a muchness i think...

Where the game will be won... Fisher, Kreuzer & Wiggins

Sounds good, and it is at the MCG, we seem to play well there and they play poorly there where as the it's the opposite at Telstra Dome. That and we are a much better side now.

Obviously opposition outs can have a significant bearing on a game, but I'd rather focus on our boys. IMO if we play at or near our best we will bring home the pork product.

I like our forward line better than theirs given the job T-Bird did on Kosi last time and the job Waitey's likely to do on Riewoldt. I like our midfield better than theirs too, by a fair margin when you look at it in an overall sense.

They are some pretty big outs, but I am still a little nervy about tonight. The gap between our best and worst is still a worry(As we saw in the first quater against Essendon) With a bit of luck everything gels together tonight and we come away with a season defying win!

Go Blues!!
