Stafford the Matchwinner?!?

I thought when the Tigers needed someone to stand tall Stafford was terrific last night. His big mark and then two goals really steadied the Tigers when the Hawks got to within 3 points.

Great to see Stafford starting to realise some of the ability we keep hearing about.

Yes Briedis, there were many doubters when he first came to the club (including myself) but since he has overcome his injuries he seems to be finding some good form. Interesting that spud is using him far more as goal kicking forward than Eade has in the past,and it's starting to pay

The only blemmish on his game last night was the incident with the female spectator after the game ,i thought it was a pretty average response on his behalf

What happened there? Did it happen in the last qtr, because I missed most of it.

After the game a female spectator ran (or rather strolled) on to the ground and approached Stafford. He shoved her away with a bit of unnecessary force. Didn't look too good.

I reckon he has been a very decent pickup. He's not too old, has plenty of talent and has definitely been worth the punt.

Staff sure was great on Friday night and yeah good on Staff getting 2 good marks both followed by 2 goals which we so needed at the time. at the thing with the female spectator.I don't get why Staff was so unhappy about it as he had just played well in the winning side which was Richmond .

She's a known stalker, and apparently Staff had to be escorted out of the ground the back way.

And I don't think a little shove to the shoulder is too much of an over-reaction as a response to a pitch invader ... you don't have to be a fat South African rugby union thug to carry a knife or some other more serious weapon.

I don't know about you guys, but I certainly wasn't searched going into the MCG Friday night !!! I could have had Semtex and a detonator strapped to me, and the red coat at the gate still wouldn't have given me a second look.

The stupid bitch is lucky she didn't get punched out ....

I was working on a job for the olympic games...the soccer at Bruce Stadium, Canberra (where else but in Australia would you find a stadium they decided to call Bruce ? )

Anyway security was ridiculous ... same guys every day had their bags opened and gone through ; were quizzed about what they intended to use their screwdrivers for...gee I dunno ; turning screws ?

Lucky that September 11 was 2001 and not 2000, or there would've been no games at all.

Final night, on the way back to the hotel after a few drinks...passed an adult shop and popped in for a look...someone got a bright idea and we all bought a BDO (battery driven object).

Security were embarrassed when they found the first one...we were all in stitches... much to our dissapointment they never asked the chief what he intended using it for...23 bags later they finally got the joke.

Security people don't have much imagination or humour in my experience.
