I'm not exactly what the 7 stages of grief are, but right now I am at the Angry stage.

I've been through the disbelief.

Then through the blame part where you look to find all the others that were at fault (poor umpiring decisions, time keepers, Macca's poor kick, Pav's miss etc, etc).

Also through the part where you question all the things that could have been done better / differently to get a different result (Macca's and Pav's misses, someone taking a mark in the last seconds instead of Taylor grabbing it uncontested, better ways to defend the lead, not running down the clock in the 2nd q etc, etc).

Now I am angry.

Angry that we twice blew match winning leads by trying to run down the clock in the second quarter, and letting them get on top in the 4th quarter.

I know acceptance will come - cos what else is there for us to do?

But right now I am angry.

I hope the coaches and players are also angry. And I hope they stay angry too.

I'm in the quiet depressed stage, i'd rather be on the next stage outta town, but hey, our turn will come.
Harvs is slowly turning over the players, before you know it, it will be a young competitive team.
Exciting times ahead!:thumbsu:

Haha *goes searching for last lecture in developmental psychology* ;)

Apparantly there is only five:

Denial
Anger
Bargaining
Depression
Acceptance

So I'm guessing soon we'll see you trying to pay the AFL to change the score :p

I was sure this thread was going to be about Gary Ablett.

The envelope please................................and the AFL academy award goes to.........................................Gary Ablett!!..........for his major role in............? <-----next poster please fill in....lol

I only ever have two stages after a loss. Devastation, sometimes to the point where I feel like I'm going to be physically sick (which only lasts about a minute) then anger and wanting someone to blame. The second stage usually lasts a few days, and I'm currently constructing effigies of Gilmore and McManus.
