When I read "Star Wars geeks dream come true.." I thought there was going to be some woman who would admit to sleeping with these 'geeks'.

From another web-site:

ABC.net and scores of other sources are reporting on the latest census info from Down Under.

More than 70,000 people listed their religion as Jedi or Star Wars-related on the 2001 Australian census form. The Australian Bureau of Statistics issued a warning in April last year about what constituted a religion, after an email campaign which urged 10,000 people to write down the fictional 'Jedi knights' from the Star Wars movies in response to an optional religion question.

The prank email was distributed in Australia, New Zealand and the UK last year.

The ABS told Star Wars fans that anyone incorrectly filling out the census form faced a fine of $1,000 for giving false information.

Further analysis of the 2001 census forms since the release of figures in June has revealed 70,509 people wrote Jedi or Jedi-related answers.

Christianity remains Australia's largest religion with more than 12.8 million followers.

An easy fine to get out of, really.

All these Jedi have to do is tell the cops "These are not the geeks you're looking for", and bingo! They're scot-free.

Any word on how many Sith there are in Australia?

here ya go SW geeks..

coming soon to the Powerhouse Museum (sydney)

18 September 2002 - 2 February 2003

The Powerhouse Museum will present one of the most popular exhibitions of all time, Star Wars: The Magic of Myth. As the Powerhouse is the only venue in Australia, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see original artwork, props, models and characters used to create the Star Wars trilogy - Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983) as well as models, costumes and drawings from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace (1999). The exhibition, which has toured in the USA until now, will display more objects than any other venue, including more than 25 objects from Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002), the latest film in the Star Wars saga. The Magic of Myth explores the archetypal themes and motifs from classical mythology and world culture that are contained within the trilogy.

How bloody funny would that be though going through the drive through of a McDonalds in that thing wearing a Darth Vader costume :p

$US 13,000 though  Why would anyone pay that much for that thing, looks like something some kids would do at play school with a bit of sticky tape and a few toilet rolls.
