Another great episode.

Twin Suns. I assume Ezra saw Tatooine and Maul found out that Obi Wan is still alive.
Even tho I'm perma-banned from TFN, pulling this from there...

---------

He was looking for "a new hope", a hope that can be found under twin suns.
He saw that the son of Skywalker is alive. He saw Luke, the key to defeating the Sith.

Both of those theories look like they could be correct unless their trying to throw people off in a big way.

I love how this show keeps on giving little hints everywhere and has you looking forward to the next episode everytime.

Did Maul and Ezra have the same vision?

Examine the dialogue of both characters.

"I want to destroy the Sith." "You are as ambitious as ever. As for me, I seek something much simpler, yet equally elusive... hope."

"I see nothing! Only oblivion! I must go deeper!" And then, "I see..." "I see him!" "Twin suns..."

"I saw...images. Pieces of something, but I can't make sense of [them]. I don't know if it was what I wanted to see, or what Maul was trying to see ... Places, mostly. Planets, some familiar, some not. I'm not sure what it all means."

This could imply that Ezra did see a vision of the original trilogy but it could also suggest that since Maul was seeking a different answer, he saw a separate vision leading him somewhere else. This may not be the case but I'd like to think so since Ezra refers primarily to "places" while Maul refers to a person.

If he saw a vision of the original trilogy, the ezra is snoke theories will be popping up again since snoke said he was watching everything from the shadows.

In terms of the vision, it seems to strongly indicate that they saw some kind of vision of the original trilogy. Twin Suns sounds a lot like Tatooine. I just really, really hope "he lives" is a red herring and we're not redoing Maul vs Obi Wan - otherwise the conclusion of the Mauldalore arc was pointless. I would hope that Maul got over Kenobi once and for all and set his sights purely on the Sith for now.

Doesn't make any sense for Maul to be excited about Obi-Wan's survival... He is already done with him in TCW by killing Satine and sending him to prison, later on, he was just trying to usurp Sidious' power...

Qui-Gon makes more sense, since he surprised on something there, he couldn't be surprised about Obi-Wan, because of the reasons, he didn't see him die and he has no interest in him after killing Satine, Savage Opress can't be alive afterwards because he doesn't know how to survive in the Force ghost realm, the only thing makes sense that Maul sees Qui-Gon's immortality technique and learns that Qui-Gon actually lives via being a Force ghost.

Now the question is, why Maul goes to Dathomir after seeing this, since we've seen a couple of trailers about it, and about Nightsisters. I think Maul will try to be immortal by using the Nightsisters magicks, but the question remains how.

I loved how Maul was using old Madalorian tour guide droids for security in the latest episode. That was a hilarious little detail. Seeing the Asteroid Base again was also nice.

I also like how the key to destroying the Sith and what Maul seeks were kept ambiguous. Both could be found beneath twin suns, especially if Maul is out for Kenobi. I do hope that he has bigger goals than that though.

Another interesting thing...Ezra likes collecting helmets. It would make sense that he collected Darth Vader's helmet, and passed that on to Kylo Ren. Also, Ezra is seen with a crossguard in Rebels...so it would also add up that he passed that knowledge of how to build a crossguard saber to Kylo.

Plus add some important points the above article made (that Ezra would be the last known person who could actually teach the ways of the Sith by the time TFA comes around).

Some more theories....

Rey is the daughter of Ezra and Sabine, and you'd get the dynamic of Rey fighting her dad (Ezra) like Luke fighting Vader.

Donnie Yen is playing a blind man in Rogue One, and some reckon that could be Kaanan Jarrus from Rebels.

Would be cool if Kanan was in Rogue One but if Luke is the last Jedi that means Kanan is dead and therefore can't be in Rogue One doesn't it?

Would be a cool tie in, but Snoke says this to Kylo in the official Force Awakens novel which is canon: Untitled.png

Kristian Harloff on Collider did a good breakdown of the Snoke speculation:
