Starting ruck setup

Sandi and Cox ATM. Though I keep asking if there is any word on Sandi and his toe/calf, no-one can tell me anything
Its a bit frustrating, I suspect he is fine but would love some input

I took the opposite view - the total lack of info on Sandi is a worry, coupled with his very limited pre-season appearances. I had him the whole time until a week ago, when I swapped him for Mummy.

Unlike some others, I'm quite happy with Mummy's 96 as he looked like he needed the run. Can see him finishing in the Top 2 rucks, but let's face it, that's a lottery.

Still looking at the David Hale swing strategy outlined earlier in the thread. Would mean I would swap Hale in for Porps, with the extra cost being delivered by downgrading Hargraves to a rookie in the backline. Risky, but I'm leaning toward doing it.


PS - I originally voted 2 premium rucks in this thread, but went with Mummy and Giles. The most popular option, it seems, and one that will have us starting behind many others by failing to pull 200 in the rucks.

Mumford, Giles (Redden, Pattison), with Hale in the forwards as cover.

The drawback with this is that the ruck/fwd combo means you lose the opportunity for a cash cow.

You are better to have Hale as R2 and Giles & Redden on the bench. If needs be, you can downgrade a rookie fwd to Pattinson when/if he is named (or other ruck/fed dpp) then switch Giles to FWD.

You should get good points out of Hale as R2 plus have one extra cash cow earning you dollars in the early rounds. Also leaves a spot in the FWD to find a Fwd rookie.

Mumford and Giles.....not the strongest start but when your rucks go head to head you can't expect too much I guess.

Giles had a decent start with 88. If he can net me between 80-100 each week, i'll be laughing for the price you pay as a 2nd ruck

Hopefully i am able to use that spare 400K or so and get extra points in another spot
