Until Sydney's 103 point win over Geelong in 1998 with a score of 24.18.160, were those scores the Swan's highest efforts against Geelong? Pretty unique if they were, and they were both losing totals!

They were two of the top three. The other was a 155-46 win in 1933.

And this one is a bit more involved. Dustin Fletcher will play his 350th at Metricon. I'd like to know which grounds:
...
c) have never hosted a 300th game*
d) have never hosted a 250th game*
e) have never hosted a 200th game*

* current AFL grounds and the major suburban grounds no longer used (eg. Princes Park, Victoria Park, Western Oval, Waverley Park, Windy Hill, Junction Oval, Arden St, Lake Oval, Glenferrie Oval, Punt Rd, Brunswick St, Moorabbin Oval, WACA)

c) Victoria Park (880 matches); Junction Oval (734); Windy Hill (629), Punt Road Oval (544); Corio Oval (371); Moorabbin Oval (254); East Melbourne Cricket Ground (225); the other 19 venues have hosted less than 100 VFL/AFL games.

d) Lakeside Oval (704 games); Brunswick Street Oval (612); Corio Oval (371); East Melbourne Cricket Ground (225); 18 other venues

e) East Melbourne Cricket Ground (225 games); plus another 16 venues, starting with Metricon Stadium (90). Yarraville (7 games) hosted Alby Morrison's (WB) 200th.

Important to note with the above however, that games may have been miscounted, or counted differently; e.g. matches played for Victoria were once included. I recently saw footage of Francis Bourke running through the banner for his "300th" against South Melbourne at Waverley; his final game came a fortnight later against North (when Malcolm Blight infamously dribbled the ball through the behind posts, thinking it was a goal), but today Bourke is credited with exactly 300 games. Another memory is of a recount being done of Kevin Bartlett's matches during his playing career, somewhere between 300 and 350 - Bartlett wasn't happy at being docked a couple of games. Milestones in the past may not have been celebrated at the correct times.

Someone wrote to me once about Simon Madden's 300th, which in retrospect appears to have been marked on the wrong day.

I see this gets a mention here - 2012 SEASON GUIDE UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS.

Page 644: Under the heading ‘Youngest To Reach Career Game Milestones’, Simon Madden reached his 300th game in round 22, 1988, not round 21, 1988.

I'm not sure when it was included, but after a recent post here regarding most games without a final, this is there too:-

Page 748: Under the heading ‘Most Games Without A Final’, Gary Hardeman of Melbourne should be included in the list. He played 219 games for the Demons from 1967-81 without playing in a final.

Perhaps they keep an eye on this forum?

Might have already been asked before, but what's the lowest amount of games played to become a club's leading goalkicker for a season? Jackson's 41 goals from 10 games for St Kilda in '83 prompted the question.

What is the best percentage for teams that only won 1 game out of a 10 game period? Has anyone got a % of over 100?

Now this is the sort of question Rogers was talking about that requires a bit of effort to answer. I'll leave it to he or Paul since they're the score gurus. :)

Didn't Plugger kick 35 goals in just 8 games in 1988?

Here are the answers

17 teams have contested 10 or more seasons 1897-2011.

(As they could also at the end of 2010 (2001-10) and 2009 (2000-09).)

Has any team had their percentage continually reduce/increase on a weekly basis from round 1 until the end of the home and away games?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, no.

North managed to increase theirs each game until R15, 2001. Also the second best effort R1-13 (out of 18) in 1955.

Going the other way, South only arrested their downward plunge in R11 of 1938 (18 RDs), and even that was a loss.

I'd say that's a definite no. Highly highly highly unlikely wouldn't you think?

Looking at North's percentage in 2001 is very lolworthy. Starts at 41% and gradually gets almost to 100% only to fall short.

Saw just a little of Sydney v Freo while watching the Essendon game today. Looked like a lot of empty seats. So I was wondering, say since the introduction of Brisbane and West Coast on 1987, for each team, against which opponent have they had the lowest best attendance? (treat Bears and Lions as a single entity, and ignore Fitzroy, Gold Coast and GWS)

eg. Fremantle's lowest best attendance is v Brisbane - 34,143
