At 3/4 time West Coast had scored 0.8 goals for every behind.
North had scored 6 goals for every behind.

There have been 10 bigger differences than that in final scores:

Round 7 1940 North Melbourne 8.1 v Melbourne 12.34 is the greatest.
Melbourne scored 0.35 goals for every behind.
North scored 8 goals for every behind.

shit i knew it was bad at that stage but i didn't think it would be that high up in the record books for polar opposite goalkicking accuracy.

Probably been done before, but...

What's the biggest margin between sides in a game where the loser has more scoring shots than the winner?

cheers lads, i was sure there was a team mates list on paul's site but i couldn't find it at the time...

have any two players been teammates for 100 games (each) at two seperate clubs??

and as a final one, what's the record games played for an entire team of 22?? surely no set of 22 players have ever reached double figures....

...but this would tie up my PC for a fortnight! Can only say that Collingwood fielded the same 18 for 6 consecutive weeks in 1929, and no premiership team has ever taken the field again after their GF win. Might revisit this question later on.

Hawthorn kicked at least 6 behinds in each quarter tonight. How many times has this occurred?

And what's the most behinds kicked in each quarter of a game (by one side)?

I'm guessing it's 8 (http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/games/1977/101519770507.html)

then 7 (http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/games/1938/091619380604.html)

And how about the most kicked in at least 3 quarters? Looks like 9 I reckon.

And the most in 2 quarters looks like 12 - http://stats.rleague.com/afl/stats/games/1936/051619360822.html

i must admit i did have a feeling this would be a fairly labour intensive on a database...

11 Hawthorn players (half the side) had more possessions than Melbourne's leading possession-getter (Jones with 21) in tonight's game.

In the history of matches with individual possession counts recorded what's the most players to get more possessions than the highest for the opposition?

EDIT: Found one that beats it, Geelong vs Fremantle 2009.

14 Geelong players had more possessions than Freo's highest (Pavlich with 19).

There's probably a higher one out there.

As in a team that wins the flag at no point ever fields the same team again that it won the flag with? If yes, that's crazy. Granted you seem to often get retirements and the such after premierships, still, for this to never have been repeated is quite interesting.

So Melbourne vs GWS is possibly the first ever 0-11 match. That's something to look forward to.

You're assuming Gold Coast will defeat Western Sydney next week.

In Round 19, we could have Melbourne (0-17) hosting Gold Coast (0-17).

As I said, GWS are coming!!!! Melbourne will beat GWS in Round 13, so that leaves Gold Coast without a win. They only have two winnable games, home to Port in Round 9 and home to GWS in Round 20.

Last team to go a season without a win?
