What's the highest amount of goalkickers for a season for a team? Across all matches.

Individual?

38 - St.Kilda 1980, Carlton 1990, Essendon 1994
37 - Essendon 1992, Essendon 2007
36 - Essendon 1983, Collingwood 1986, Melbourne 1986, Essendon 2010
35 - Essendon 1971, Geelong 1982, Melbourne 1984, Melbourne 1987, Fitzroy 1987, Essendon 1991, Adelaide 1998, St.Kilda 2001, Essendon 2008, Richmond 2009, Greater Western Sydney 2012, Western Bulldogs 2012

A lot of poor teams in there. Generally speaking, it seems to be related to how many players are rotated through the side.

On a game by game basis, the highest totals are

246 - Carlton 2000, Geelong 2008
245 - Geelong 2011
243 - Geelong 2007
242 - Collingwood 2011
241 - Geelong 1992, Essendon 2000
237 - Geelong 2013
234 - Essendon 1984, Brisbane 1999
233 - Brisbane 2001, Brisbane 2002, Port Adelaide 2004, Collingwood 2010, Hawthorn 2012, Sydney 2012
231 - Geelong 1989, Essendon 1990

How could individual be the worst teams, but individual multiplied by games is the best teams?

Also, what about the opposite, least goalkickers for the season, since about 1940, because before then they could go goalless in games.
Minimum score for of 1000 points, or after 1940.

How could individual be the worst teams, but individual multiplied by games is the best teams?

I presume the difference of 697 games between Mick Malthouse (700) and Brendan Bolton (3) tonight would be a new record for games difference between coaches. Are there many other instances where there was a difference of 500 or more?

What's the largest losing streak turned into a winning streak? For instance, Collingwood loses first six games of the year but then wins the next five.

Thanks.

Read: e.g. in 1976, Carlton lost 5 in a row before winning 9 in a row

(In fact Carlton's 1976 season went 7W-5L-9W-1D-2L)

Ron The Bear.

With your treasure trove of information, can you please tell me which teammates:

Jason Dunstall and Danny Frawley shared? (e.g. Dean Anderson.)
Jason Dunstall and Billy Brownless shared?
Dunstall and Garry Lyon.
Billy Brownless and Lyon.
Lyon and Frawley. (e.g. Stephen Newport.)
Sam Newman and Brownless shared? (e.g. Mark Bos and Neville Bruns.)

Cheers.

Also, which 2 Football media personalities shared the most teammates?

In senior games:

Dunstall/Frawley - Tim Allen, Dean Anderson, Lawrence Bingham, Robert Handley, Paul Harding, Russell Morris, Ricky Nixon, Glenn Nugent, Sean Ralphsmith, Peter Russo, Chris Wittman

Dunstall/Brownless - Tim Hargreaves, Aaron Lord, Austin McCrabb

Dunstall/Lyon - nil

Brownless/Lyon - Bret Bailey, Trevor Spencer

Lyon/Frawley - Dean Chiron, Steven Clark, Greg Doyle, David Grant, Martin Heppell, Jeff Hilton, Rod Keogh, Peter Kiel, Stephen Newport, Rod Owen, Jamie Shanahan, Steve Turner, Brian Wilson

Newman/Brownless - Mark Bos, Terry Bright, Neville Bruns, Ray Card, Peter Johnston, Graeme Landy, Gary Malarkey, John Mossop, 'Scratcher' Neal, Michael Turner, Murray Witcombe, Mark Yeates

Due to the nearly limitless possibilities, I'm not even going to try to match all media personalities! :)

When was the last time all teams had a least 3 wins after 12 rounds? This seems like the closest season in ages at the bottom of the table.
It's the closest season in terms of gap between top and bottom after 12 matches since 1997.

are Essendons 33 inside 50s in a loss the most ever? guessing it must be

also how does Melbourne's opponents goal accuracy rank for previous teams (currently 42.5%)
*Paul* have you thought about adding a list of these to your site?

Mav Weller kicked the first goal in the Saints game on the weekend, taking St Kilda first goal tally for the year to 1.

And all it did was make Geelong angry :(
Very good question though, based on sheer randomness I would expect it's happened a couple of times. Unfortunately I don't think there are reliable records past 15 years ago.

Yeah, I meant in terms of records held. I'm sure it probably happened during one of the Saints awful first 20 years or so

Well that does surprise me. Can I be greedy and ask a similar question?

Q. Last x year old to play in a losing grand final?
Q. Number of x year olds to play in a losing grand final?

where x < 19 or x >= 34

Via private message Ron The Bear, can you please send me editable Excel spreadsheets with one dedicated to games sorted by debut years and round of debut and the goals version of it?

E.G. Dustin Fletcher debuted in Round 2 1993 and has played 388 games which puts him a clear No. 1 for games played by someone who debuted in 1993.

He's got 70 goals which brings him back to the pack in terms of most goals by someone debuting in 1993 with Richo the clear leader on 800 goals.

Cheers.
