Okay, let me explain. This week sees 1st (Richmond) playing 2nd (West Coast) in a 'top of the table' clash.
As was identified in Ron's answer, there have been seven seasons in which, due to quirks in the draw and ladder positions, there has NOT been a 'top of the table' clash during the home and away season.
This is what I was asking, whether there had been any seasons in which this had occurred.
Now I know. I thank Ron for his research in answering.

Here's a question.
What's the most players playing that played a different club on the same field.
Ie- Calrton against Essendon had 10 players that didn't debut for them but play for them now

Hoping that nade sense. I don't think it did

Melbourne have kicked over 145 points in their last 3 matches; who was the last side to previously do that?
doesn't answer your question, but the last time that Melbourne did was in 1991.
R1: 20:eek: ---- R2: 180 ---- R3: 145 ---- R4: 155 ---- R5: 182

NB: that was not a string of 4 wins, R3: STK 154 - MEL 145

Melbourne's 3/4 time score today was 18.6 (114), which was also their 3/4 time score last week versus Carlton. Is this the highest 3/4 time score one team has achieved in consecutive games?

In 2007 Port Adelaide scored 153, 155, and 163 in their matches from rd. 15-17.

That's the most recent case I can see, but I've only gone through it "manually", so can't absolutely promise that it's the answer!

Doubt it.....Seem to recall the Swans going for a 3 game streak back in the late 80's, where they cracked the 200.

Ah yes, 1987....Here you go:

R16 H West Coast 4.7 11.13 23.17 30.21 201 3.3 4.6 7.8 10.11 71 W 130 12-0-4 S.C.G. 24199 Sun 19-Jul-1987 2:10 PM

The question was what is the highest 3/4 time score achieved in consecutive weeks. That is, the exact same score.

Collingwood's 3/4 time score was 127 points in 1978's Rd. 21 (19.13) & 22 (20.7). That should be the highest.

I hope that counts BTW, as obviously the scores aren't an exact match!

Yes, this answers my question, regardless of the goals and behinds not matching.
Staying with Melbourne's victory over Adelaide, have any other teams kicked over 20 goals in consecutive games whilst also keeping their behinds total to fewer than 10?
Also, when did Melbourne last have the highest percentage at the end of a round?

West Coast, Richmond, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Geelong and Kangaroos are top 7 as of yesterday.

I feel like I've rewound the clock 13 years.

Since expanding to 12 or more teams, have the same 7 sides sat atop the ladder like R10 2018 and one 3rd of 2005?

More than 20 goals, with less than 10 behinds:
Hawthorn 1970: Rd. 15 (21.4) and 16 (23.9).
Sydney 1995: Rd. 19 (27.8) and 20 (22.7).
Essendon 2001: Rd. 1 (23.8) and 2 (23.7).
Richmond 2015: Rd. 20 (22.6) and 21 (23.9).

Close, but not over 20 goals (with less than 10 behinds):
Carlton 2000: Rd. 11 (20.9), 12 (20.8) and 13 (25.9).
Carlton 1969: Rd. 19 (20.7) and 20 (20.9).
Fitzroy 1987: Rd. 3 (20.9) and 4 (20.9).
Melbourne 2001 and 2002: Rd. 22 (21.7) and 1 (20.9).
Essendon 2003: Rd. 4 (20.9) and 5 (23.9).
Fremantle 2016: Rd. 11 (20.6) and 12 (23.9).
