Mcgough and a first pick, the clokes? No Thanks they can keep him. McGough is a better player than Salopek and i still live in hope that we will get something from our first pick. I would take pick 7 for salo-peckerhead but McGough is way too good to put in that trade. We will trade mcgough just to see him bite us on the arse.
Would never trade Salopek unless he was desparate to go home. He is going to be an absolute gun , and would have played more this year had it not been for glangular fever. Cant c Port trading with Collingwood though after the Stevens debacle

Salopek has proved nothing, McGough has been close to BOG against quality opposition on a few occasions. McGough is better than Salopek.
Of course Salopek has more potential and looks like he will become a better player but McGough, for now, is the better player.

You guys have got no hope of getting Salopek, if he comes back yo Victoria it will be to Richmond for Aaron Fiora and maybe a pick, Fiora is a former Port junior who they rate very highly, or we will get him for nothing in the PSD.

Watched Fiora play for the Port Magpies before he was drafted. Got dropped for a GF, and I heard he was so pi$$ed he never wanted to play for Port again. Do not know if this still applies, or applies to the Power, but as far as I am concerned I would rather have Cole.

Why the interest in salopek.
He hasnt done much at port and cant get a game atm in a depleted midfield.
Hes not quick or hard a the ball but is a big possesion getter apparently.
Lets keep pick 7 and not make port stronger by giving them a top ten pick for a player who cant get a game.

You're all dreaming. You guys have to learn that if you target a guy as your "prime target" then you are probably going to have to pay a little bit more than he is worth in order to entice his club to let him go. You have to offer something that would interest Port, players like O'Bree, Cole, etc are not going to do that, O'Bree is far to old and not good enough to make our midfield and Cole is a poor man's Shaun Burgoyne.
The only thing that would interest Port would be pick #7 (or Presti, but I doubt he would be up for trade), but even that wouldn't be enough seeing as though Salopek was rated a top 3 player in his draft and slipped to #6.

Salopek will be a class player for the next 10 years. All Port supporters and club heirachy believe he must be kept. His coach at Sanfl level touted him as a future captain of the power as a result of his attitude and performances whilst playing for them. I strongly doubt port would entertain the thought of trading him, but thats without knowing whether he is homesick or not. From a rival club point of view Salopek is a player i would definitely target, but im sure he wouldnt come cheap.
