ST KILDA
B: Sean Dempster, Sam Fisher, Jason Gram
HB: Brendon Goddard, Max Hudghton, Jason Blake
C: Sam Gilbert, Nick Dal Santo, Lenny Hayes
HF: Robert Harvey, Nick Riewoldt, Robert Eddy
F: Clint Jones, Justin Koschitzke, Stephen Milne
Foll: Steven King, Andrew McQualter, Leigh Montagna
Int (from): Adam Schneider, James Gwilt, Charlie Gardiner, Matthew Ferguson, Shane Birss, Raphael Clarke, Michael Rix

In: Birss, C Gardiner, Clarke, Rix, Ferguson
Out: Aaron Fiora (susp); Jarryn Geary

No surprise with Gears.

Birss is in the squad.

Good to see Mini and Eddy (in the named 18) get another go (one bad game does not warrant being dropped).

No X yet which is very disappointing.

Have heard some rumours about Armitage and that he and Ross do not get on. Rumours is all they are, but when Armitage doesn't get played after being BOG for Freo with Luke Ball out, it makes them that bit more believable. Of course Ross could just be unhappy with his last performance at Subi and doesn't think he suits the ground

Happy to see Birss in the squad, but will he get a game whilst Mini is playing? Maybe we could put Birss on Hayden (Freo's 2nd best player when up and running from what I've seen).

I'd like to see Schneider, Birss, Gwilt and C. Gardiner/Ferguson (as a forward) on the bench.

Rix - tinkering with a second ruck option to free up kosi while having ferguson at FF? Sandilands is pretty unbeatable for taps anyway. Just need to compete with him.
Ferguson - FF
Schneider - in
Gwilt - in
Birss - unlucky yet again?
Clarke - doubt he will make the final squad
C Gardiner - can't see him making the final squad either

Think this is probably likely, but to not play Armo on a shitty sloppy night at the 'G when Ball is ruled out defies logic for mine. How about picking a team suited to all conditions?

Not acceptable, get rid of Ross, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get on with him either.
True to form Ferguson, Raph and C Gardner named after not doing particularly well with the Scorps, while Armitage who was among the best not selected, and we will now be surprised if Birss gets a start.

For my money the Bench will be:
Raph, Gardner, Schneider, Gwilt.
I would prefer to have Birss instead of Raph and X instead of Gardner..... and Sheedy instead of Lyon, or Connelly or GT or anyone really.

Schneider and Gwilt are safe, so two spots available.

Unless there is a radical change in thinking about team balance (like playing BJ forward god forbid) you'd think Birss will play along with a lead-up forward (desparately missed last time at Subi). So either Chucky or Raph would play - my betting is Raph.

I just read the interview with Dee Dee on the Saints site, including:

If you could give one piece of advice to the coach, what would it be?

Don't listen to advice from supporters. We aren't objective enough.

Crunch Game ! Would love to see the boys win after gettig beaten by the Eagles and hope Birssy gets a game..maybe fergie aswell.

Now this is a dumb coach
If i was picking to cut down the bench it would be : Schneider, Gwilt, Ferguson, Birss.
we wont win this, still cant understand why lyon isnt playing armitage

Armitage still does not have the tank he needs to play in the midfield at AFL level. Mores ona big ground like we will get his weekend.

Birss plus a marking target. So Charlie or Fergs.

why are you all giving St Kilda no chance? we are not in the bottom four because we are awesome and 4 out of our 5 wins have come from teams below us.

Matthew Ferguson, Shane Birss, Raphael Clarke, Michael Rix and Charlie Gardiner are all part of an extended St Kilda squad of 25 going to Perth for the Freo match.

We will name a squad tomorrow, but with all the emergencies with us - it seems that they are simply not taking any chances.

Maybe they have learned - to play the fit players, if someone has a question mark.

The injuries and the free kick disparity were critical in the West Coast match - we were flat after a hard match against Hawthorn and we disrespected WCE. They have shown it was no fluke - with their win against Essendon ending that teams finals race.

With the exception of the negative impact that these missing players will have on Casey as they approach finals, I think that taking a squad of 25 to Perth is a great move. Team bonding in a way.

I'm very bullish on the Saints chances in this match.

Reverler that is because we are the St Kilda football club. We're soft and we love to choke and we also love to get thrashed by any side that will turn up on an interstate ground especially Subiaco.

St Kilda is like a British Politician and Fre is like a Domanitrix. We are going to the house of pain to enjoy a good spanking.:D

NeXus, is that you ?

If not, you surely must be related, right ?

What a pathetic thing to say for someone claiming to be a St Kilda supporter !

We will win! The boys didn't scrap back into the 8 for no reason. They can fight and they want to play finals. Get on them under 39 points.

Go sainters.

Last time Armitage played on Subiaco he had 6 touches in 93% TOG

Fair to say there is noway he should be playing on sunday

i have to say im the first to admit iv ragged raph clarke for yonks but id like to see him play a forward role. im sick of him in the backline players like him n gwilt are too error ridden for the backline but not too bad when playing in more of a free role. Think chucky must play but we need that extra forward if kozi is gonna backup ruck just to at least present a target so milne and schneiderman can crumb. im a sucker for punishment but im goin again on sunday and im hopin it wont be a repeat of the game against the eagles cant stand these wa crowds.
