I waited on the freeway in a train standing with hundreds of people for 45 minutes, without any news from the driver what was happening:mad:

Some pretty insane pictures in that group. Had some water sneek under my roof and come through my door frame for the sliding doors. Little else.

Was rather spectacular watching the first storm rolling across whilst stuck in the freeway jam and then getting the second one on film as I got home. In all honesty I haven't seen anything like that in nearly ten years in Perth. Watching it from my window I was reminded somewhat of my days having sat through a few cyclones, what with the trees bent sideways and the rain nearly horizontal.

I got home around 10 minutes before the storm started so thankfully I missed it all, although I am a little sad that I missed out on a once in a lifetime experience in Perth.

UWA, particularly the architecture building, has been absolutely destroyed! There are many photos of the architecture library floating around facebook with insane flooding.

(hears hoping we don't need to come in for the rest of this week...)

Was like tornado alley down at Curtin, the first front was sitting over us for a good 45 minutes.

Two hour drive home was fun as well, took me an hour to cross the narrows coming from manning highway. Was amazed to see Perth drivers actually allowing people to change lanes!

I wonder how Richard Pennicuik the thornlie tree man got on during the storm.

Apparantly he got hit by lightning (well his harness did). I call bullshit. The guy loves himself so much he would say anything to get in the paper. Next he will have Princess Diana up in his tree for breakfast. Tosser

My dogs kennel flew about 15m in the air before smashing itself on my fence. Thats the worst we got. A bit of water aswell but no hail.

LOL @ UWA architecture building getting pwned. The ultimate irony that

Sheet rain on the drive home. Couldn't see cars in front of me, only 2 red lights.

No flooding at home though fortunately. Though the power stopped working 5 minutes after I got home. What a tease.

I live in Ellenbrook and for once we didn't have the power cut off at all :). No hail, just a heavy rain and winds. Outdoor furniture got rearranged a bit and there's a fair bit of mulch on paved areas but that's about it.

I live Joondalup way. My sis's car got destroyed. Front windscreen smashed, rear windscreen cracked and the car itself looks like its been sprayed with a hundred rds from a machine gun.

I had no power for ten hours. Which was awfully frustrating considering the street about 40 metres away had complete power.

Bunbury got a fairly modest show compared to Perth, just lightning strikes every few seconds and steady, non-heavy rain for about two hours.
