Setting: A Melbourne sporting clothing store

Cast: Grandmother & shop assistant

[Grandmother looking for Lions gear for young grandson & is having trouble finding anything the right size in the Lions strip]

Grandmother to shop assistant: So dont you have anything in the colours of the best team in the AFL?

Shop assistant: er ammm uhhh you mean Essendon?

This reminds me of Kmart (Victoria anyway), the only thing Lions I've seen them sell was premier t-shirts after the GF. Sold out in a couple of days (what does that tell you). Advertised after the GF, "premiers video on sale tommorrow", get there and "oh no there not coming for a few weeks" (false advertising).

Only Melbourne clubs merchandise available. I would have thought they'd recognise that there are a lot of Lions fans in Melbourne (and get some money out of us). We're a genuine two state team (even more so now) and might even get some of the Fitzroy people to buy new Lions stuff instead of wearing their Fitzroy gear still (not that there's anything wrong with that).
I've put my Roys gear up my study, they won't be making any more + I lost my Fitzroy watch about 2 years ago and then vowed not to wear Roy stuff again (too precious).
Anyway, Kmart, get your act together and supply Lions gear!

:D :D :D

Kmart is a bit annoying in that they don't stock any Lions products, but then because I am not too far from the Manningham Club, I prefer to go there and hand over my money there because then the club gets the proceeds.

"Goshdarnit!", cried the beseiged check-out chick, "I've already handed over all of today's takings to that Maverick maniac, who stormed in here ranting and raving, and wildly brandishing a blood-filled syringe in a threatening manner!"
