Only had one good quarter, several players better than him over the full 4 quarters.

Good of his to show abit of harness aswell which was always lacking in his game. I stated during the week his best game may well be today and i rekon it was, his always had that capability to ping a few goals ina game that counts.

Could've gone to any of Hodge, Sewell, Dew or Ablett IMO.

Hodge deserving - took some solid hits from Cats forwards in the first quarter, absorbed them and kept at it. Repelled everything that came down and was just a rock. Well deserved.

I thought Sewell was BOG but Hodge was close second, fair result.

It wasn't just in the 3rd quarter, thought he stood up, and done several things great things throughout the day.

That trap on the boundary was awesome - thought he deserved the Norm Smith today.

I was hoping for sewell considering i had money on him but deep down i thought hodge or dew deserved it. I thought dew was brilliant for 3 quarters, if he kicked that goal from 55 in the last quarter he would have won it. Hodge had a great 4 quarter game which probably won it for him

Not BOG but a good game. Clarkson copped some crap when he went against the club and recruited Dew but his recruitment has been more than justified and shows that Clarkson clearly has a good eye

Absolutely brilliant by Dew. Didn't really rate him up until this year. Just what the Hawks needed and he essentially started the streak of goals with his hard work in Q3. Not BOG, but would be a close second with Sewell. What a great bloke!

He played a good quater, but Hodge was the easiest decision since probably Hird in 2000 for the Norm Smith judges, was so far in front in the BOG counts that it wasn't funny.

I thought that it was a toss up between Hodge and Dew bit Hodge's greater consistency over 4 quarters got him the nod.

No doubt Dew showed his value though.

I was so impressed with Dew's game today, i reckon his effort was more than just the 3rd quarter. I had seen him in some very important pieces of play and his great foot skills saved the Hawks many goals today.

Dew won the game for the Hawks with his goal, but he didnt do all the hard work that needed to be done, he just finished well.

Sewell's third quarter effort > ****ING EVERYBODY ELSE OUT THERE

Very happy with Dew, thought he would add experiance and class, when some of our players nerves were showing and i was getting worried, dew would come around and look like the cleanest bloke on the field.

Hope he takes off about another 5-7 kilo's, his hammy's dont give him grief(probably why he put on about 5 kilos during the season) and he's ready for next year
 
Stewart Dew ..too old , too fat , too slow ,TOO GOOD

He changed the game with Sewell and Rioli in the 3rd quarter and the Hawks didnt look like getting beaten after that .
Well done .
