Ok its conffession time people.....
And I shall get the ball rolling.
On monday my mum comes into my room demanding I clean it or im out.So naturally being the good son I am, I get right to it. I am a bit of a slob and there was some food in my laptop keys. So I decided to vacume my keyboard..................
No sooner does it come in contact with the keys, than 6 are sucked up into the bag.
I am then forced to spend the next 2 hours sorting through a full vacume bag, gagging on the dust and trying not to inhale too much of it.
Only to find half of what I am looking for. I am then forced to explain the rather embarrasing situation on the phone to computer repair people.
So finally I track someone down that can stop laughing long enough just to give me a quote.
50 dollars and a 2 week wait..........
Live and learn I suppose

When my mum tells me to clean my room, I tell her I'm not 6

I haven't lived at home for 15 years, but if I ever told my Mum that I wasn't 6, she'd ask me if I'd like to be hit for it.

And then if my mum said that, I'd probably turn around and say, "I thought I said I wasn't 6." :D ;)

Besides, my room isn't messy. Usually. Now. ;)

Solution: go to a library or university and steal the necessary keys.

Hah, those poor librarians will be wondering if someone had sticky fingers and accidently got the keys stuck to their hands.

Hmm "Dumb things" is my anthem....

My flatmate was eating a chicken, and she'd sat the carcus and the plate on the floor next to the beanbag, I rolled off the couch to go to the kitchen, didn't look where I was walking, stepped on the carcus, slipped and me and the carcus ended on the floor.

We couldn't stop laughing the whole afternoon and it still makes me giggle.

sabre - what type of laptop have you got and how much did it set you back? I was thinking of either getting a new computer or possibly a laptop, just not sure of the price differences.

EEEEWWWW talking about that, when I was in Melbourne last year, I used the Ringwood library to access the net, there was a guy looking at pr0n & obviously getting excited, the person on the other side of him went & complained, the Librarian came back & told him to leave, she said he was banned for good, evidentally it wasn't the first time he had been thrown out for it.

That is sticky fingers.

Thanks for that Mantis *pushes dinner aside*

heh, So he was a serial pr0n observer? Must be fairly desperate if he has to go to the local library.

Sorry about that mate, but judging by his attire, I doubt whether he could afford his own computer, or even an internet cafe & seeing as the internet is free if you are a member of the library guess it was his only option.

Well i didnt pay for it....
But i would recommend one, I mean its in my room and takes up minimal space. But its roughly double the price so a 3k laptop is the same as 1.k-2k desktop
Then again if you havea decent monitor already just go to a computer store and you can get a top of the range "tower" with everyting for about 1400.

I was using mouthwash and got distracted and swallowed it instead of spitting it out. I checked the back of the bottle. It said "Do not swallow. If an excessive amount is accidentally swallowed seek medical attention immediately". It didn't state what an excessive amount is. I'm not sure how someone could accidentally swallow more than a mouthful.
