Moore average? Ok mate.Haha I hope that is a joke. That is a shocking trio in the centre. Moore and Jackson are very average at best.

Cochrane - who was unsighted after his fourth - was the only AFL-listed player who could genuinely be considered for an AFL call up. Lorenz at best played a tidy game collecting disposals on his own on the wing. Jackson clowned around with ridiculous handballs. Williams was nowhere to be seen when it mattered. Whitlock and Walsh were monstered. Charleson didn’t even come into screenshot. Barrett epitomises the definition of playing like a rabbit. Soldo couldn’t dominate in ruck and lumbered around unable to bend over. Atkins - dare I say it - was pretty good. Of the non-AFL listed guys, Weideman and Linke caught the eye. Rome Burgoyne is nothing like Jase. Nowhere near as determined, competitive or resilient. Not AFL material at this stage either.FT: 2nd and 3rd quarters good, bookended by absolute rubbish.
He's absolutely average.Moore average? Ok mate.

Moore is a great tackler, Jackson is tenacious and Soldo is an AFL ruck, Sturt or any sanfl side shouldn’t be waltzing out of the stoppage with ease, regularly.Haha I hope that is a joke. That is a shocking trio in the centre. Moore and Jackson are very average at best.
He's coming back from injury. But it feels like the captaincy has cursed him, only 9 games last year due to injury as well. It's like Sutcliffe never left. He's absolutely average.
Has had 19 touches in 2 weeks as skipper in the middle a heap.
Moore is symptomatic of our clubs position, should not be captain. The fact we have used that marquee spot on him is a joke.
When he won the BnF everyone wanted him to be captain. Last year was injury ruined and he's come back to a trash side. He's absolutely average.

This is a much fairer commentHe's coming back from injury. But it feels like the captaincy has cursed him, only 9 games last year due to injury as well. It's like Sutcliffe never left.
Mentally as weak as piss in both compsThe way Sturt got so many players free in the last quarter resembled the Essendon onslaught last week. Our fitness and/or lack of concentration after 3QT is an issue across the club.
They aren’t interested in winning mate.Honestly, I'm actually pretty happy with what we saw, it was a good step forward. Obviously not ideal, but i expected worse after the last half last week. Chasing the scoreboard all day was a killer but otherwise there were a lot more positives than weve seen so far. That game winning free and 25, turned a couple goal loss into a bit of a last minute fadeout, which I'm choosing to ignore.
Really need to stand up next week and find a way to get a win and get the season rolling.
For someone that follows the Magpies exclusively you really dont seem to understand how any of this works. When he won the BnF everyone wanted him to be captain. Last year was injury ruined and he's come back to a trash side.
There's literally no one else good enough to be captain in this team except him. And he's still better than Suttcliffe ever was
Just that lack of physical (and mental) strength is as much of an issue as lack of fitness. We don't stick tackles, and we can't break them. It's weak. It’s our fitness guys, once you’re gassed comes mistakes. I really hope Carr has a fitness guy in mind. Can anyone chime in on this ?

I just love people bagging Moore. But I saw people celebrating kyle Marshall getting on the top up list. Now there is an absolute spud who shouldn't be wearing the guernsey. For someone that follows the Magpies exclusively you really dont seem to understand how any of this works.
If Jackson Mead ends up being delisted at the end of 2026, he could be a Maggies captain option. But as you said, let it play out with Moore and see if he can return to his 2023 form.I just love people bagging Moore. But I saw people celebrating kyle Marshall getting on the top up list. As I said. He's just come back from an injury prone season. In his first two seasons he was very good. He earned the captaincy after his second season for sure!
I did agree in a previous thread that if he has another injury prone season we should take it off him. But we're two rounds in.
And when you look up n down the current list, he's literally the only option.
No way is an SANFL squad fitter than an AFL squad NO WAY but we are mentally as weak as piss and are happy to compete. When the game is on the line (in both comps) we fold simple as that. It’s our fitness guys, once you’re gassed comes mistakes. I really hope Carr has a fitness guy in mind. One is maximising the concessions and limitations on us, the other is accepting a completely underwhelming player in a position we're allowed to recruit some quality.I just love people bagging Moore.
