Rosa <-> Masten the only change I'd make, if any. Not sure we need a change though Rosa's experience may be helpful.

Next week will be a very different game then this one.

Absolutely not; we need his big body.
Rosa has a big body too and was sub tonight?

I like Hutchings as sub because he seems to kick clutch goals late. Would suit the role more than the other options IMO.

I think Rosa is better than Masten when the game isn't on our terms but his kicking can really cost us. Tough call

I was all for Ellis being the sub tonight but he was very good. Think the backline is functioning well. Rosa should get a full game IMO - played so well against the Hawks last time and we'll need his big body. Hutchings, Sheed, Watts - all required starters. Give the vest to Masto, he didn't have a huge influence tonight.

From left centre but maybe Masten. Would like his run but he is a fresh legs player who would suit the vest.
Hutch, Sheed, Butler and Ellis need to be on the ground all game. Hill too dangerous to not be near goal for 180 minutes.

Ellis was great tonight but looked fairly sore a few times so might be a good candidate for the sub vest.
Hard decision this week though, no one deserves it.

**** me. I hate the sub rule. So glad it's gone next year. Reckon it has to be either Butler, Ellis, Hutchings, Rosa or Masten. None deserve it however, and whoever gets it will be really stiff.

Butler and Ellis. Why they should play: Both played well against North and were cool under pressure-vital in a GF. Also both have been there before and will know what to expect. Why one should be sub: Both similar players, do we need both?

Hutchings. Why he should play: Big bodied midfielder who will be important around the stoppages. Played extremely well against the Haws last time. Why he should be sub: Not the greatest disposal. Too similar too Priddis. Will probably give us the greatest impact in this role.

Rosa. Why he should play: The most versatile. Can play inside or outside and if need be can do a somewhat negating role. If a Hawks midfielder is causing us too much trouble it could be worth sending Rosa to them. Provides good run and carry. Why he should be sub: Not the greatest disposal. Along with Hutchings will offer the most in the role.

Masten. Why he should play: Great endurance player who can use the ball extremely well. Can't see him offering too much in the sub role. Why he should be sub: Out of all the players mentioned he was been the worst performer over the last few times his played. Granted he has missed a fair bit of footy of late but can he find his form next week?

Think this will be the match committees toughest sub decision yet. Can't decide myself.

Masto looked lethargic and slow tonight, especially defensively. Stood around and watched Ziebell snap at goal when the game was up for grabs in the second.
Aside from a couple of corking kicks to Kennedy and Priddis he was pretty average I thought.

I'd pick Rosa and put Masto as the sub.
Masten isn't in great form and probably isn't as fit as he could be. Rosa's superior contested ability, defensive work and versatility will probably be more useful in a GF, as I doubt we're going to have the time and space that we'd like. Masto probably has more capacity to make an impact as a sub too.

Honestly a very hard decision. Butler and Ellis both played well. Butler missed one tackle (but so did shep) but was awesome otherwise. I still think Ellis worries me with his kicking.
