He struggled last year coming back from injuries an some were even writing him off as a future good player for us.

Has been in great form so far this year an proving to all his ability.

now this :(

Far too many leg problems at the club
I know many happen during contact wrong place wrong time.
But gotta wonder if all the fitness/running work they do is just abit too much an weakening things in their legs leading to problems.

Hope to see him back asap an in form again.

please don't post any pics

Could not agree more. One thing footy could learn from soccer is to can the excessive replays of these incidents. Antonio Valencia sustained a similar break in a champions league match against Rangers and after an initial replay to determine what happened I'm pretty sure they didn't show it again.

Anyway, hoping Suban can make a swift return - adds good run and mongrel to your squad.

I thought he was gone for the season, so I am pleased with the 6-8 weeks.

He was starting to add a few dimensions to his game. He will be coming back around the same time as the others with leg issues.

pretty much the same injury that norths young gun jack ziebell has done twice now. i believe both times ziebell was out for atleast 8 weeks, but he has come back well, so hopefully the short term pain wont extend into a long term issue.

it just sucks that we are copping the injury run that we are, because i think with our best side in, we are without doubt a top 4 side :(

Ziebell broke his femur twice. Thats upper leg. Much more serious break than Fibula (support bone in lower leg).
i think you mean tibula not femur. you break your femur your up sh@# creek.i broke my fibula, had plate and screws inserted and was playing playing sport, six weeks after operation.

I stand corrected, just looked up an article. He broke his tibia (shin bone) in 2010 and Fibula (support bone in lower leg, same one we think Suban has broken) in 2009.

Fremantle utility Nick Suban was positive and upbeat after learning that he will be back playing by mid-season.

The 20-year-old, who broke the fibula in his right leg after an accidental collision in the third quarter in yesterday’s 29-point win over North Melbourne, is expected to miss only eight weeks.

He underwent surgery last night and had a plate inserted in his right leg.

General manager of football operations Chris Bond said that Suban would remain in hospital until mid-week.

“We’ve spoken to Nick and he’s very positive and upbeat about getting back out playing with his team mates,” he said.

“Our medical advice at this stage is that he should be ready to go within eight weeks.”

so stoked on the confirmation subes isn't gone for the season.fingers crossed subes, barlow, mzungu, silvagni all make it back in the next couple of months & really lift us in to a highly sought after top 4 finish.:thumbsu:

Like you IP, I seem to bring incredible bad karma to the team when I go away.

Last year, go away, Barlow does leg... this year, go away ( am in Bali atm), Subes does leg!!!

Thankfully, just a fib, but ya still gotta watch out for those nasty soft tissues, as they can take at least as long as the bone to heal.

Maybe Roger will be able to support Subes through this as I'm pretty sure he has had a broken fib in the past.

All the best Subes, look forward to seeing you round about Round 12 or so!!

I must need new glasses, or maybe I'm just getting old... or both.

I swear it was Pav that tangled with Subes to break his leg, but the paper tells me it was Creepy. And I've often mistaken those 2 blokes before - they do sort of look similar.

And then yesterday I was getting Broughto and Groves mixed up. Then Fyfe went and cut his head and got a bandage making him look a bit like Roberton....
