Are you guys kidding me?

That was a great opener.

It wasn't the same Suits as Season 1, where it explored Mike as an up and coming "lawyer" with no actual legal background, using his own smarts to get by.

Season 5 has taken a different turn and I loved it. Delving into Harvey's insecurities, and the way they explored that through the psychiatry sessions was great.

It didn't go very deep into the cases, but I always thought that was the drawback to this show. Granted, you'd prefer the season to have more than that, but I always thought they were the reason why Suits never captured the magic of Season 1.

What makes Suits great, isn't the "interesting" legal cases, rather the interesting people and their relationships.

I just don't see this show as The West Wing of law.

It was a bit of a weird episode. I don't want to see Harvey being vulnerable and weak. That's not in character I feel.

When he flushed the pills like "I am Harvey, I don't need pills" I was happy and I hope they can put that to rest.

Yes Rachel/Mike is as stale as it gets.

I guess it just feels like the motivations for the characters aren't there. People have their name on the door, everybody is rich and happy.

Time to burn it all to the ground

Much better than the last episode. Harvey is no Tony Soprano.

I like that he didn't pick a hot girl and that Gretchin knew what was up.

"Well if you have to ask" :D

The Harvey vs Louis thing was so contrived. Donna not talking him out of it, leading to him doing it, then Harvey making friends just as it was already done leading to another blow up. So sick of it.

Episode 3 was pretty good. I liked how they showed Mike doing what he does best

How long's this show been garbage, 3 to 3.5 seasons? Yet it's still one of my favourites :drunk:

It's a pity the writers went down the swapping secretaries route, when simply putting Gretchen with Louis would've worked beautifully. Louis + Gretchen v Harvey and Donna would've enabled more comedic value to that particular story line, something that the show needs more of. There's remarkable chemistry between the characters, with satire being their main asset. Less of the serious stuff, please.

The banter between Robert and Mike was easily the highlight.

Going back down this road of weak Harvey and the continual battle with Louis is so boring.

Just as Louis was forgiving Harvey because of what Donna said he make a big stab right at the end of the ep to fire the flames back up. Sooooooooooo manufactured. Just stop it already.

They need to bring Daniel Hardman back. Harvey needs a proper nemesis. Travis Tanner is shit. They also should employ some of the old Boston Legal writers to give it some more interesting cases.

As beez said, this show is held together by the chemistry of the main cast, but they need to be given something better to work with.

Watched the latest ep last night - anyone reckon there is a future romance with Harvey and the psychologist lady?

For me they've completely overplayed the Louis the fool angle. In the early episodes he was odd and a bit of jerk but he was still a top lawyer (particularly within his own specialty) now he just seems an idiot. The Sheila/mudding/cat humour are all good and no one is begrudging a man a bit of Donna worship but I wish they'd cut back on him being outplayed by everyone bar the cleaners and show him, legally at least, more on par with Harvey.

I'm happy for Rachael and Mike to stay the happy couple, last thing that needs is another story arc. The show is still really easy to watch but it does need a new dynamic somewhere and as others have said I'm not sure Vulnerable Harvey will be it.

I'm just glad they've dropped the Mike not going to law school story line for now.

Agree that they need to stop making Louis out to be a fool. Sure he does some stupid things because of who he is, but he was the best financial lawyer which Harvey even admitted.

I'm liking vulnerable Harvey, but it's not enough to sustain a season.

Another pretty good episode. Still not quite sure where they're taking this season, though.

That last ep was really good! This weeks episode is going to be explosive!

I wish Harvey had said yes to Esther. Could have been a really good storyline that.

Jack is an interesting addition as well. Not sure what to think of him.

The show is taking all sorts of weird twists and turns.

Back to the Mike fraud story it seems. Gotta turn down partner.
Mike seems to have had a far reduced role this series. Very little on him/Rachel this time around.
