Being linked to James Rodriguez by the spanish press, would be a good signing as long as Van Gaal isnt here to ruin him like Di Maria.
I dont actually rate him that highly. Well not for the price you would be paying anyways which im sure will be exorbitant.

He was a bizarre buy. A real flavour of the month, world cup star buy. Then he got to Real and was just kinda ok.

Wonder if you'd look at Benteke, don't think he'd be out of place in your system?
No he wouldn't work in our pressing system

A smaller speedy versatile striker is who we want like Berahino.

I've seen us linked to big guys with good work ethic like Mandzukic and Batshuayi however. If we play in the CL next season, then Mandzukic would be an awesome get even though he's getting older, he has experience and he's a hard worker like Kane.

Heung Min Son works hard and is versatile, I think he has been good for us even though his numbers aren't great, would rather keep him and sell Chadli if we boost our striking/wing-forward department.

I'm just gonna put it out there and say that West Ham would be perfect for Benteke.

Would probably help guys like Valencia, Antonio and Lanzini who would all be feeding off and around him.

Zouma will be top 5 CB in a few years. Has all the tools to succeed.
I'm glad Chelsea persisted with him and didn't loan him out like every other youf who comes through their system.

Unfortunate about his ACL injury however, hope he recovers in full as they can be difficult to get over. Sandro for etc I think has never recovered fully from his ACL and that was about 3 years ago too, hope he can get back to his best with West Brom in the mean time, only just seen he signed there on loan in January. Has Walcott's ACL effected him just wondering?

Its funny how things work out, if it wasnt for City we would have bought Mangala instead.
Zouma would've been cheap too I'd imagine?

They've produced some solid players recently Saint Etienne. Aubameyang, Matuidi, Zouma, Payet over the last 5 years and I reckon Perrin and Ruffier would perform well in a better league.

I disagree. Mentioned this in another thread but Bilic seems to prefer a striker who can run the channels and open up space for the likes of Payet and Lanzini, Sahko does this pretty well.

Carroll would have to move on for us to consider Benteke and Batshuayi and Lacazette are far more likely targets IMO.

Arsenal and Spurs are after them two also. Apparently Batshuayi has been heavily scouted currently by them two.

West Ham would have to be in the CL to gain one of them imo.

You guys after Berahino? He'd be a likely type

Batshauyi is good friends with Payet, and he'd be a bona fide #1 striker for us, whilst he'd probably be a backup at Spurs behind Kane and likewise at Arsenal, so we're pretty confident of getting him.

Think Berahino will end up at Spurs, otherwise I'd have Stoke as a wildcard team there.

Do you think he currently prefers this type of player because Carroll is not as reliable as your other forward options, so Bilic changes the style up a bit? Carroll getting a goal the other day via a through ball is an example of this.

As for Klopp when he came in he had a game style in mind and has been trying to make Benteke play differently instead of building the team around him which is why this wont work out and swap of player types is needed.

I think Benteke is someone you can build your forwards around but do you reckon some clubs could slowly be moving away from this style?

I think Carroll has turned into a 30 min impact player off the bench who is perfect when you're behind and want to send longer balls into the box. Sahko is still not match fit, but I'd have Carroll third in line behind Sahko and Valencia currently.

I think the days of a big unmobile target man striker in a 4-2-3-1 system are over, at least for the top teams, unless they are elite. West Ham rely on counter attacking football quite a bit as well, and Benteke certainly wouldn't fit into that.
