I still have nightmares of that game against bvb where he was immensesigh. alright.
i just dont understand what more he can do until he joins this so called elite bracket. he's a fantastic shot stopper, continually pulls off saves when we need them the most, is confident coming out to claim the ball. his distribution could improve but he's told to launch to ball up field to no one. he's an excellent penalty saver (only man in history to save a lampard, ronaldinho, messi and ibra penalty). i genuinely cannot see any reason why he isn't mentioned alongside buffon, de gea and courtois. probably because he's english and no one's allowed to rate english footballers these days unless they're u/23 or something.

Would address a glaring squad deficiency for us. Anyone watched much of Xhaka?
Thoughts on suitability? To the league and club.
And a massive complainer to the referee. I swear every game and every call he is in the referees face.Think Xabi Alonso, sorta similar
He is a bit slow though
Just not my sort of striker. Would be a better version of Ramos maybe? I haven't watched too much of him to be fair but what i have seen i havent been overly excited about. How much would his club be looking at letting him go for? I'd imagine in tbe region of 30 mil and i wouldnt want us to go for thatWhy?
60 million pounds or around that.Just not my sort of striker. Would be a better version of Ramos maybe? Well he did play for Liverpool. And a massive complainer to the referee. I swear every game and every call he is in the referees face.
sigh. alright.

That's pretty poor. How long can Wenger get away with not fixing this?

Yeah fair enough, the way Benteke isnt even making matchday squads right now and that is with Ings still out injured suggests we dont need to replace him. We'll see I guess, no idea where Klopp wants to go with the side. Maybe it's just Tekkers out, Gotze in, in attacking areas. I'd be fine with that.Is it rolling the dice? We had a perfect storm type scenario this year, Sturridge has ongoing problems that we all know about, but the odds of 3 of those 4 strikers missing more than a third of the season 2 years in a row are slim to none.
You're suggesting we spend significant money on a player that like Benteke would be a contingency plan only to be used in the extremely unlikely scenario that Sturridge, Firmino, Origi, Ings and someone like Gotze (again, if we sign him) were all injured at exactly the same time. That's a doomsday scenario I can't see unfolding and planning for it would be a frivolous waste of money in my opinion.
Where do you stop? 10 strikers just in case your 9th choice tweaks his hamstring? If we get down to bare bones with that much quality and depth in that position then all you can do is rectify it with a stop gap loan in January or a promoted youth player.

Benteke has been injured for the past 3 weeks.Yeah fair enough, the way Benteke isnt even making matchday squads right now
Has he? I didnt hear anything about that.Benteke has been injured for the past 3 weeks.

Oh, that's actually good as I thought he was really out of favour with Klopp. He's such a cool and nice guy, I want him to succeed but sadly he just doesnt fit our system.http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2016/04/01/liverpool-christian-benteke-injury-four-weeks-missed
Lateral collateral ligament (LCL), Still apparently another week away.

Surely this season has to be the wake up call. A side who were nearly relegated 12 months ago and a side who you've regularly finished above both have 20+ goal strikers... And didn't break the bank to get them.12 years and counting?

Surely the 'no one available' excuse won't wash anymore.
Would you honestly say that any of your strikers are taking Arsenal to a league title?
Giroud and Walcott definitely are not. Won't be any easier with the managerial changes in the league next season and subsequent spending spree.
I recently read an article about how the upcoming Spurs stadium expansion could hinder Spurs like it did Arsenal for years in the transfer market. Could be a concern for you guys.Surely this season has to be the wake up call.
