Even though he'd cost more I'd take Hart, I think he's a better keeper has a lot more experience at the top, top level. I still question whether Begovic is good enough to be a first choice for a big champions league playing club and whilst that isn't currently us I want to be signing players who can take us to that level. The reputation of Hart would make signing him a coup for Everton and it'd help us bring in other top players.

Klopp played Firmino as his CF because he is the best pressing CF you have.

And considering you're not in Europe, I can't see Benteke making more than 10 appearances off the bench all season depending on injuries.

Apparently Palace want £5m to be payable only if they qualify for CL football in the Benteke transfer.

A tad unrealistic. Make it payable upon Europa League qualification and LFC would probably bite.

Balitelli yes. Benteke no. Klopp is very happy with Benteke's attitude and wouldnt have a problem keeping him. Unlike Baloteli Klopp hasn't said Benteke must leave to further his career.

If we were desperate to move Benteke on we would have accepted bids from one of the many clubs chasing him already.

Balotelli is a different story. We would accept 5m for him right away. Unfortunately the only clubs Balo is interested in joining are poor Italian clubs that can only offer us payments in 1000 installments + a bowl of fettuccini.

Klopp is very impressed by Tekkers' attitude. Can see him getting plenty of game time away to physical teams and also with injuries / suspensions. With 4 years left on his contract we aren't desperate to sell, otherwise it would already have happened.

Oh I agree with you there. However it seems we aren't going to buy anyone even if we sell Benteke, Ilori & Luis Alberto who are the most likely departures which are likely to net us around £35-40m.

No doubt we will... but not for 23m. I think we will come to a deal of around 25m with perhaps 5m in more achievable add on's.

If Mane is worth 34 and Bolasie 25 possibly rising to the 30 then we should be looking for a similar deal.

I think theres a reason Bony has attracted little interest in the market. In any case City are just as likely to demand big money for Bony because everyone knows Palace is cashed up and need a target man desperately.

It's equally to do with how you conduct yourself. We rarely overpay because we either don't sign the player or reduce the cost. Clubs know we're not easy to bend over.

You overpay because clubs local and abroad know you're a soft touch. Because a club of Liverpool's stature needs marquee signings. Similar happens and Utd, Chelsea and City to extents. Clubs know you all have 100-150-200m to spend each window.

That's not the case at Palace, they can't be wasteful with cash. Okay they have some money from Bolasie. Doesn't mean they should overpay for Benteke just because a bigger club is trying to bully them in to doing so.

Again I'd go for Bony and I'd wager they'd get him for less than you're refusing to accept despite similar goal scoring records and a similar style of play. Cave you lot say, we'll put a bid in for Bony and let's see if Liverpool cave.

Palace are not interested in Bony though. They've identified Benteke as the man they want. I guess they could leak a few bs rumors about Palace wanting Bony but I doubt anyone would believe them.

Palace got rid of their main CF and sold Bolasie for big money. I don't think they've left themselves in a very good negotiating position with 2 weeks remaining in the window.

All of your theory applies to Everton as well and they forked out £25m + for Bolasie. It's just how the market is.

They've already bid £30m, the only stumbling block is the add ons part of the transfer fee. Palace need a target man desperately with their game plan and there is no better target man than Benteke in the PL.

Palace should start looking at other targets. As good as benteke is it's not like he is the only target man walking this earth that could do a job for them.

Let Liverpool sweat a bit and come closer to the window shutting they'll be throwing him out the door for 1/2 the original asking price. He is behind Firmino, Sturridge and Origi with Ings back at some point too. Classic game of poker here

Slimani will cost 30m. We were interested earlier in the window until they gave us the figure they wanted.
