Waiting for someone that isn't called Tancredi Palmeri to report it before getting too excited, but yes it sounds like we're very interested in him. No idea what stage negotiations are at or who we've spoken to though.

Maybe but there'd be at least four or five teams between them and Liverpool stature wise that would have a look. Arsenal would I'd imagine. United. Maybe Atletico or PSG. And that's just examples without caring too much to think deeply about it.

The way I see it is the board overruled his decision, made the 16mil bid and after they knew they ****ed up, They decided Rodgers could not spend anything during the Jan window. I think we brought Ibe back from loan but that was it.

Yes that's the view that's been reported before. Surely there is more too it though. Seems to be a disconnect there between the Manager and the Board. Doesn't make sense to spend £16m on a striker that the Manager doesn't want and who doesn't fit the style of play. Amatuer stuff.

Might be one of those things that eventually comes out a few years down the track.

Kovacic hasn't been that good this season but has huge potential, similar to Coutinho maybe the bigger clubs might not want to take the gamble.

Midfield next season will be something along the lines of:


Pretty happy with what we have there as a base to build from. 1 of Lucas/Can sweeping up, Coutinho/Lallana at #10, Henderson working one side of the midfield, Allen & Milner providing cover, we just need to add a player with a bit of vision & class on the ball in that final spot in the midfield 3 and I'll be comfortable with our options.
