Crazy by Fulham - that kind of money could buy a decent PL striker. That doesn't bode well for Taggart's chances either. McCormack is a very handy Championship striker so they must be banking on him to do enough to get them up. Leeds reportedly only wanted $7-8m which is still overs IMO but to get $11 is a great bit of business for them.

Maybe we can buy a washing machine and some powder now

For extra money? Most certainly.

I believe Kevin Nolan when he was with us decided to drop down a division to sign for West Ham at the time due to them offering a longer term contract on more money that we were willing to pay. I guess that has the 'Big Sam' reunite factor too but that that's one example I can think of off the top of my head.

Markovic is someone we would've signed even if we don't sell Suarez, but it's after that. Do we go for more youngsters or will we spunk the money for a big name, who knows

When was the last time we actually signed a big name player? I honestly couldnt tell you. Under Rafa, all his best buys were more obscure. Mascherano was highly rated I guess but everybody seemed to be wary of him because he was not even getting a game at West Ham. Alonso was plying his trade at Real Sociedad, he wasnt touted as a major signing even though he did turn out to be one.

Torres was rated high I guess, but when we bought him, I didnt think every club under the sun was jealous. We werent fighting off Barca, Madrid, United etc for his signature. He turned into the best striker on the planet for about 2 years though.

Ummm... Suarez wasnt really sought after. Just another good player padding his stats in the poor Dutch league. Of course he turned into a superstar.

We really dont tend to go for the big name signings, like Chelsea or United do. Or now City and even lately Arsenal. We tend to go the more obscure route and then turn them into stars. So I think if you are waiting for us to sign somebody like Reus, you might be waiting a long time.

We should be all over this. Throw that Suarez money at Real and Di Maria.

Depends what price.. Napoli spent 40m on him.. im not sure I'd want us spending that much on him just given how crucial it is we spend that Suarez money right.
