People's gotta stop bothering about Balotelli, he certainly can't be bothered himself

He is toxic on the pitch

Balotelli may work if his basic wages is 40k a week and he gets paid 30k per goal. Otherwise he can piss off.

And 80 hundred billion pounds Liverpool fans want for Suarez isn't?

pot-and-kettke.jpg

You're really comparing Suarez with Lovren? Haha you're having a laugh mate.

Sounds like Southampton haven't told Lovren about the offers because they aren't considering selling him. Fair enough, that's their prerogative. I can understand his concern that all of their best players are walking out the door, but with the money they've received for those guys I'm sure they'll build a fantastic squad for next season.

To be honest I'm hoping we aren't going to pay £20m+ for a player we opted not to sign for half that 12 months ago. He was excellent last season until Christmas, but inconsistent from then on (as was the hallmark of most of his career at Lyon from what I've heard). My biggest concern with signing Lovren would be that it sounds like it would probably result in Agger (who I rate as a far, far superior player) leaving the club, which would be a terrible decision as far as I'm concerned.

Shoei you dont think suarez is worth 80?
not sure what your on about

80m for a 28 year old that's banned for 4 months? No i don't.

Southampton think Loven is worth 25m. You dont.

People in glass houses.....

No. I'm comparing people demanding outrageous sums for one of their players then cracking the shits when another club does it in return.

The very best always going to cost an arm and a leg.

Apparently we will be shit without Suarez, he's the only reason we were only a couple points from a title despite competing with massive spending clubs. Yet all of a sudden he's not that good and not worth 80m.

Who said he wasn't that good?

Don't make up comments.

I've got no problem with clubs demanding outrageous sums for premium players. Guys like Suarez and Bale etc could be the difference between coming 2nd or 3rd and winning trophies, and those players are typically incredibly difficult to replace.

Lovren is not a premium player, he's not even a premium defender. There are dozens of CB's Southampton could pick up to replace him without breaking the bank. I don't think you'll find me demanding that we sell someone like Enrique for £25m anytime soon.

well you're also not ian ayre

southampton are looking out for themselves. they value lovren at 25 mil, obviously they view him to be of that much value to their club. nothing wrong with it at all.

Yep and no issue with Southampton placing whatever price they want on the heads of any of their players. Like I said, that's their prerogative.

I'm just explaining why I personally don't think that Lovren is worth paying a premium for, whereas I think that players like Suarez and Bale are worth paying well over the odds for because as commodities they are far rarer in terms of what they can provide on the field. For that reason Shoei's complaint that Liverpool supporters shouldn't care about overpaying for Lovren when we asked for a massive fee for Suarez just isn't a relevant comparison in my opinion.

Fair enough too. We should walk away and let Spurs buy at that price.

Lukaku: “I have the opportunity to stay at Everton, it is a possibility and it is something we will have to talk about. But first I want to go back to Belgium, see my family and get some rest.”

Can't see you guys coughing up the transfer fee and wages required to land him. No CL football also doesn't help your cause. I expect Arsenal will have a crack at him otherwise he'll join Atletico most likely. Or possibly PSG/Monaco.

big willy apparently done, 3 year deal for about 4 mil + add ons. one of the best in la liga, better than pants and will definitely keep joe on his. big fan.

nasri apparently taking a big basic wage paycut loaded heavily with bonuses due to bonuses not being counted under ffp. too easy.
